Yep. We've had more than our share of trolls over the summer -- probably caused by the drought.
Part of your problem -- which isn't a huge problem, btw, just something to keep in mind -- is the business about posting some sort of "what do you think about this?" thing before opening an Intro thread. First thing I think of when I see that is somebody -- you in this case -- is pimping something I don't want. And failing to introduce yourself right from the get-go isn't entirely courteous either -- whether here or anywhere else.
Trolls employ those techniques quite a lot as a guise to try and fit in, but it generally doesn't take long for the real deal to surface.
So, again, if you're legitimate, hang around. Get the lay of the land first, then chime in.
