I have not seen an old gas lantern for years. I remember when they decided natural gas was too expensive to allow their use.

That's a 30-year old electric lamp. It needs replacing, but I never got around to it (it's set in concrete), so it is what is is now.

Yeah, my Dad installed a gas lamp in our front yard when I was a kid. I always thought it was wasteful, but whatevah. My mother seemed to like it.

It's just a regular electric driveway light. It DOES look like a gas lamp, though, and that's what I thought when I first saw it.
