Last Saturday at rehearsal, our bass trombonist didn't show up so having anticipated that and having brought my own bass 'bone, sat down to read this chart.

Arranged for BRASS BAND, vesta. Dear. Just in case you're wondering....

Anyway, I had a great time with the bass trombone solo. (No, it ain't me playing, but it's a close approximation of the part not to mention the tune.)

I really love roller coasters, especially wooden ones...and Santa Cruz has one of the best. It's also a very weird place, very weird. The Tubes are a very weird band. Very weird. Partying at Chico State, going to comedy clubs in SF, and cruising the boardwalk at Santa Cruz (in between I did study and go to class). These guys played the boardwalk all the time and this is by far my favorite song of theirs:
