Title: After Six Years - The Web Site Is Revised
Post by: Eupher on April 27, 2011, 12:45:15 PM
My stepson did a great job in revamping my web site.

It had started out in 2005 when we lived in Ohio as a site primarily for Mrs E., who was teaching music at the time. I had a corner of it for "my stuff."

But she no longer teaches in the same way she had before, and she no longer has an interest in keeping part of the site to herself, so it's all mine now.  :-)

There is still some tweaking to do, and I want to put in more recent photos here and there, but here ya go:

I noticed you have an African Gray.  The pet store near me always has one or two out for sale.  They always seem to be the most interested when somebody comes by, or jingles car keys at them.  Are they a whole lot of trouble to work with?

Not at all, but their natural intelligence and need for social interaction make it important to provide them that intellectual stimulation they need. That can be challenging, especially when the little shit is deliberately doing stuff you don't want them to do just to get a reaction out of you.  :lmao:

It's amazing the amount of stuff they can learn and it goes far beyond mere mimicry.

I wouldn't mind having one, but one of our indoor cats I absolutely would not trust to keep his paws to himself.  I am guessing they live a long time too, like the even bigger parrots?

Not quite as long as a macaw (blue & gold, hyacinth, scarlet, harlequin, and various sub-species), which can live 70+ years, but 40-50 years for a grey is not uncommon.
