I think the local trash collection employee might be a trump*ster.
I heard the truck pull up in front of the house and saw him staring up the driveway, towards my car, and therefore my bumper sticker (Any Democrat - 2020). A few minutes later I looked out and my trash can was in the road and the lid was WAY up, in the middle of my yard. It's not windy. He had to have done that, on purpose.
When even the public employees are out to get you . . .

Traditional garbage cans are still in use? The San Jose area has used toter carts whose lids are attached for several decades. I have doubts about the veracity of this :bouncy: .

I hadn't even thought of that. We live out in the middle of nowhere, and even we have the wheeled cans with attached lids.

Now you mention it, my parents lived 5 miles out of town and were using toters in the early or mid 90s, if not earlier.
