6. I played at smoking cigarettes in college...had a few, but no more.

Since then, I've smoked pot a couple of times.

I really enjoyed the high!

Inner ear trouble is as close to a high as I get these days.
“The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of ‘liberalism’, they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.” - Norman Thomas, U.S. Socialist Party presidential candidate 1940, 1944 and 1948

:rotf:  I'm just picturing Peg smoking pot. I would pay to laugh at that.

By the way, I have never smoked anything in my life.

Used to chew and dip, but now I just enjoy an occasional cigar.

I'm talking 3-4 a YEAR.  Very occasional.

I smoked cigarettes like a beast when I was a restaurant manager. As soon as I quit that job I quit smoking.

Last cigarette I had was when a finger was smashed between to sections of pipe while I was working the oil patch.

"Can I bum a cig?"

"But you don't smoke."

"Today I do."
According to the Bible, "know" means "yes."

I smoked for about a year because I liked getting high.  I stopped after my chest started hurting on a daily basis.

lol

Way back in the early 70's my mom (God bless her soul) found a joint on the floor. My bro had lost it and was going nuts looking for it. She smoked it.

She kept setting the table, and mindlessly re-arranging it for about an hour. She was acting so goofy and everybody was wondering why.   :-)

A friend of mine told the story of his one and only encounter with the green stuff.

He was a marine engineer on a 100' fishing boat back in the 80's and they were stuck in port for a few days.

Apparently every piece of glass, brass and stainless steel in that engine room was polished to a mirror finish and there wasn't so much as a speck of dirt or oil anywhere to be found.

No option for meth?

I don't smoke unless I'm around a smoker and I've had a couple of drinks.  My only encounter with mary jane came after I had four beers and asked for a cigarette.  I thought it looked funny when she handed it to me, but I smoked it anyway.  I remember feeling really, really relaxed.  Then, after I figured it out, I was paranoid I was going to get chosen for Operation Golden Flow.  A week later, I was chosen.

Turns out that if you really only smoked once, it doesn't stay in your system that long.  It takes some work to keep it at detectable levels.
