Anyone else do it? I'm wondering if it's worth it to sign up for this. http://www.live365.com/index.live if you become a "VIP", then you get commerical free broadcasts. Or, you can do what I do and listen free and put up the commericals (which is just like regular radio so I don't mind). You do get a pop up after a certain amount of time that reminds you you're listening free and "you can become a VIP...." and it tells you to re-select the station to keep listening. Clearly designed to get people to join.
Anyway, I love listening to music while I'm online. Any suggestions?

I've been listening to Live365 for a few years now but I'm not a VIP member, I just put up with the commercials, no big deal.
I also listen to Pandora. I enter a band and they will make a station based on that bands musical stylings. I have station presets ranging from Black Label Society to Louis Armstrong. Best thing is there are NO COMMERCIALS!

Also there are plenty of commercial radio stations stream live audio.

I used to listen to Southern Miss football games on the internet. I am much more advanced now; I stream the video, and watch it on about a 2 inch screen. :whatever:
yes, it's sad and pathetic, but it is part of my Saturday afternoon during college football season.

Go to playlist.com and create your own station playing exactly what you want to hear. I think Project playlist great!
Live 365 is ok. Pandora is better. Projectplaylist is uniquely yours.

I use Sirius as well. It's nice not having commercials.

Through Winamp you have access to literally hundreds of Online Radio stations.

For those of you that like "oldies" (the really old stuff from the '20s, 30's, 40's) you might try www.krli.net
You will have commercials however.....

You could also try www.planetrock.com they have a listen again feature so you can catch programmes up to a week old.

Another hi-five for Pandora.
My local AM and FM talk stations have streaming audio (except for Coast to Coast AM). I usually go there as well.

i stream Rush Limbaugh while I'm doing stuff online.. its worth the 6.95 a month just to hear his commercials, which are all the parodies they've created over the years and no actual advertising.
they overplay the Tom Daschle stuff at times, but its all hilarious :-)
