You want to hear something interesting?

I've had a Recovery Act road project going on by my house for a year. The company they hired tore up the road last spring and then just left it that way all summer. I was wondering WTF were they doing. It's been a hassle to get around. Well guess what..

They re-started working on it THE DAY AFTER THE ELECTION!

I'm so furious I feel like going down there and screaming at them!

Do they really think people are so stupid they can't figure out what they were doing?

I wonder if this is happening anywhere else.

3. I'm in Ohio. I have Strickland, Space and a Dem mayor....

If there's a conspiracy to screw Obama by delaying projects then the company wouldn't tell anyone that anyway. They'd just make a bunch of excuses. If Dems are to blame it's for the same reason as everything else. Gutless and stupid.

5. If you can find out the name of the company, we can do some digging. I'm now curious, too.

One's sure the babbling sister primitive is doing some digging, at her computer.

In case one doesn't know, the babbling sister primitive sits at the computer all day, finding things to "copy and paste" for the illumination of the primitives, a television set going on a shelf built above and over the computer monitor so she can watch that, too.

The babbling sister primitive is a rather large woman, her buttocks spreading and spilling out over the edges of the chair.  Until recently, when she was still married, and living with her husband, there was a 4x4 post in the basement, propping up the floor underneath where the babbling sister primitive sat.

Well, that's highway construction for you.....and she's in Ohio so it's going to be some nasty weather soon ....and best bet would be completion time....next fall....if then.

Methinks the company was bilking the government this whole time charging money for work not being done but with the TEA Party candidates drooling at the prospect of clawing back the money. So the construction company realizes they better finish the work before the new congress gets seated because Nancy's last congress never passed a FY11 budget giving plenty of opportunity to un**** the ARRA.

So yes, Sowanne98, the GOP is the reason the work is finally being completed.

Feel free to thank us.

BTW - I wonder if its a union contract?

Maybe they had to wait on more funds to be released to complete the project. After all putting up those signs giving Obama credit were expensive and ate up a lot of the budget for the road project.

Here in Kalifornia there were lots of projects funded by the state that during tough budget times got slowed or stopped.  however, all of these projects mysteriously turned up with Obama Stimulus signs one week.  Still nothing happened on them until about 6-8 months later.  But those signs got up their instantly.

I got fifty bucks that says the road that got torn up was perfectly good for another 15-17 years with maintenance.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

Wierd.  We had a road here that was resurfaced this summer.  There were signs up that this was an ARRA thing for a month or so, but nothing was done. Then, all of a sudden, in August they started work on it.  The whole thing took about 3 weeks, they did a lane at a time, over night, as it was summertime.  It's a nice road now.  For those of you in the area, I am referring to Garland Road, east of 635.

I don't know if there is any connection to the fact that the area is supported by a long-standing Republican Senator and Congressman.

Yeah, I get a kick out of seeing those signs too.
