he even got a guy from al reuters.  I hope they took barney to the vet, and gave him a tetanus shot.

Quote
Barney bites reporter

Washington D.C. -    Barney,  the President's beloved Scottish Terrier, bit a reporter on his way to the White House briefing room today.

Jon Decker, a reporter for Rueters, asked the handler if it was ok to pet Barney and was told yes.  When he did, the dog bit his right index finger and broke the skin.

"I just wanted to pet barney. My mom has a scottish terrier. I wanted to pet barney and unfortunately he was not in the mood to be pet," said Decker afterward.

A White House physician prescribed antibiotics as a precaution and recommended Decker get a tetanus shot.

Let's see what happens to Barney now.

I'd love to have a "handler" for my freaking dog.

And a "handler" for the cat litter.

His damn dog did what he didn't in 8 freaking years.

His "above the fray" unwillingness to address complete lies about him and his decisions led to the catastrophe we are in now.  A will lay a lot of the upcoming depression and loss of freedom at his feet for being "a nice guy."

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. No, it wasn't that Barney wasn't in the "mood" to be petted.  It was that he was unwilling to be petted BY YOU, asshat.

Dogs are excellent judges of character - or lack of same.

don't mistake george bush's disdain for the MSM for a lack of balls.  this is the guy that led us after 9/11, freed 50 million people and two countries from tyranny, and has kept the terrorists pinned down in their own backyard by force of arms for seven years.

he simply does not lack cajones.

He just fails to exercise muscle in his own defense...some say character to a fault..."walk softly and carry a big stick"...only problem is sometimes you have to swing the stick.

Clinton denied everything even if it was true, Bush didn't deny anything even if it was false - that did a lot of damage.

george bush vigorously and tirelessly defended his administrations' policies in the 2004 election, and he won.  he did clam up once the election geared up, and unfortunately that happened two years ago in this election cycle, but that's because he considers it improper to interject the power of the presidency into a presidential campaign that he isn't running in.

it was mccain that failed to defend the bush policies.   in fact, he ran from them.  he ran as obama-lite.  if he had stood toe to toe with BHO and combatted the lies about the surge, the lies about the war in general, and the lies about who is really responsible for the financial crisis, he would have had a chance.

on edit : but I am NOT saying that mccain lacks balls, mind you.

Well a 24 month election cycle should not mean that the POTUS has to stop talking for 2 years. And the "power of the presidency" would have been a nice offset to the "power of the media."

We have been let down by our party since about 2005 causing large losses in 2006 and this current disaster. Ronnie RayGun's ghost must have shit himself when he saw a sitting republican president sign on to flushing 1 Trillion Dollars (and counting) down the toilet.

I blame McCain and his campaign staff, but GWB has not lead his party in a long time, and that has not helped us.

Does he have enough balls to defend Palin?

I watched a number of his speeches live on C-SPAN, and, yes, he defended her.  it just never seemed to make the news.  but realistically, when she was on the stump hammering away at The BarackStar!, did she look like she needed defending?

She doesn't need it -- she has a pair of brass ones!

Her grace under pressure has been mesmerizing -- and most Americans can't even see this gem that God gave us.
