My 'one' has eluded me so far, so no sappy love stories yet. I got some horror stories though.

Met girl at 16, her parents hated me a lot. I don't know why. We ended up breaking up on my 17th birthday, because she said some selfish things to me. Well the guy she dated after ended up getting her pregnant, and I bet her parents were liking me after.

Then about 5 months after there, there was the one I waited for. She was finally single we have a lot of things in common or so I thought. Finally go on a date and we're talking about things we like and she ends up insulting me. I'm not allowed to cook supposedly, men aren't allowed to, and people say Republicans live in the dark ages, she was totally Lib (I know... me being here, hey! I was young I wasn't thinking.) too. Also called me a loser for liking video games. So by this time I don't even care anymore, and she wants to invite some friends. So yeah I let her and then meet this guy. Guy is hefty, has a thin prepubescent mustache, wearing a Nintendo hat and she ends up kissing him. That is rubbing salt in the wound, but I ended up getting another girl's number out of it which leads to the next story.

Kat, my favorite story to tell. Nice girl it seems, pretty, slightly... blah. Dated for a month and I hardly knew anything about her. Ask her "What do you like?" I don't know is what I would get. That sort of person. Turns out she had schizophrenia, was on a lot of meds and was a blah person. Ended up taking a lot out of me emotionally trying to console her. It was affecting me a lot and I had to break up with her, I couldn't figure out how to do it nicely until my 18th birthday. She called me to tell me happy birthday and she loves me, also to tell me that she ended up cheating on me with multiple guys in one night at one time. So now I have a birthday tradition.

I tried to call her after we got back from summer camp, but she wouldn't return my phone calls. That set the pattern right there for the next 35 years.

I have to get the good book  out to find just was what not is today a true Christian.   Was it not said somewhere and I will have to try to find it that Church is for the sinners ????  The justice and rightouse need to not to receive teachings, they all ready know them and live by the teachings.
Rom 3:10       As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one.

A true   christian would follow   the words of Jesus and leave home and family to follow him.    They could not marry and have children as they would at times love their family more then God.  Oh Boy, the new Testament has the letters to chastise others for their sins, as new and upcoming community of Christians began to form. Few people are just like Job and family.  Or like Lott who was to me the strangest individual in the Old Testament.  why in heavens when God told him to find just one or two just men in Sodom did he not point out his benefactor that took him in and offered his own daughters to the mobs to keep Lott's girls safe.  ???
WHAT????  Abraham was the one talking to God about finding righteous men in Sodom, Lot was the only one he named.  Lot offered his daughters to save the messengers God sent.  Job's family died, except his wife who told him to curse God.  Noah had the righteous family...and none of them are New Testament.

Trying to understand the evolution of Christianity through 2,00 years and wonder what would Jesus do were he to come back in our time with all the changes leaves me with out a clue.

Who are the true Christians, those from the days that they knew Jesus or 2,000 years later when times have changed a bit.

Sorry perhaps wrong forum.    Mrs. Smith. you caught me off guard please move my reply to the religious department is you wish.

I had a few crushes in high school, but.....One was out of my league, then I found out she smoked and lost interest.....Two was cute, and liked me, and had the same self esteem issues I had.....Three had a kid by a Navy guy (she was fifteen) and took up stripping when she turned eighteen (I met her on the night of my bacheor party, she begged me to give her a chance at a relationship, she was twenty and looked used up.)

Nope, I don't think I'd ever want to hook up with any of them.  I don't even know where they are now.

I. Will Humppum High?

She might have thought that. She was a legend. Spreading her legs for everyone. Heck, she had sex with the whole football team on a dare one time. She was beyond a slut.

That's mentally ill.  I knew a girl like that in college, only it was the wrestling team.  Good Lord.  You wonder how anybody can build self-respect after that.

I was also struck by the gold-digging DUmmies.  They hate and loathe rich people, but they suuuure wouldn't mind hooking up with one.

Oh, hell no! I was a wild child...my first serious boyfriend was a biker. He's probably dead or in jail for manufacturing meth or something.

Like BEG, I married my HS sweetheart (when I was 22) and still going strong 17 1/2 years later. No regrets, no "what ifs."

I married my sweetheart from a different HS (I was 17) and we're still too stubborn and pigheaded to admit our mistake 41 years later.   :p

I did. I met him the week I turned 15. Before that I didn't have a serious boyfriend. 25 1/2 years after we got married (I was 20), I would do it over again in a heart beat.

This is almost my & the missus story. - The only difference is we were 25 & 23 (I am one year, nine months and one day older - and the missus reminds me of this...often  :-) ) when we had gotten married.

I've come to the conclusion that the DUmp is where all the high school tramp/perverts now dwell.

They wouldn't have me.

My first 'girlfriend' was in Kindergarten. I have no idea what became of her. She had a unique name, but a quick search produced nothing.

My first real girlfriend (High School). It would have ended in a murder-suicide.

I was an 'acquaintance' of my wife for 7 or 8 years before we got together. We figure if we would have gotten together earlier, we would have divorced. Neither of us wanted to marry young.

What I don't at all get is that both claim to be True Christians.     :mental:

I have sinned in the past, I have sinned today, and will sin tommorow. I don't claim to be perfect.

As for the DUmmies...they are dumb...

I've had more then one opportunity to jump into a relationship and even had an offer of being a stay at home dad if I wanted to marry and move in. I passed on the opportunity. Most of these situations I hardly even knew the people in real life and I guess it might of worked out...but when there are children in the picture, I would want to be sure it would work out. It's simply too confusing for the children. I know kids that have called three or four differnet people "daddy" in the past three years....so sad to me to see and hear about this.....
