Fox Business host John Stossel says he recently dressed up as a homeless person and begged for money to prove that “you shouldn’t give money to these street people.”

“Yes, we are turning into a nation of freeloaders,” Stossel told the co-hosts of Fox & Friends on Thursday. “Because you feel like a sucker if you’re not when government keeps offering you stuff.”

In an effort to prove that freeloading was a lucrative pastime, the libertarian host said he recently posed as a homeless person as stunt for his Fox Business show. In the video clip, Stossel can be seen wearing a fake beard and dirty clothes. He asks people passing on the street to put money in his Styrofoam cup while he holds a sign that reads, “Homeless & Cold: Anything will help, please. God bless.”

Yeah, I know thelordofhell is lying. I also know they can't keep their mouths shut and keep their stupid to themselves, but his story was still more believable than the Bouncy Tales that the DUmmies have been fabricating the last few years.

You know, we have a lot of homeless on our streets in Las Vegas.  A lot of them hold their signs at the corners.  When we are in my husband's car, they don't really try hard to get your attention.  He has a 2004 Pontiac GTO.  However, when we are in my car (Jaguar S-Type) those signs are practically squished on my window.  It's funny they equate Jaguar = rich.  My car is twelve years old.  Joke's on them... :)

I don't give anything to anyone... you just never know.  I'm afraid to roll my window down and have some complete stranger walk right up to my vehicle.  That's a dumb thing to do.

I ran into plenty of bums at NC State (the neighborhood around Hillsborough St. is foot-friendly.  I did a lot of walking.) 

Pretending the professional homeless aren't exactly that is a waste of time and money.

A million years ago when I was much more stupid than I am now, I saw a dude on the corner with a sign that said "will work for food."  I stopped at McDonalds and bought a meal for him, tried to hand it to him, he took it, and promptly tossed it at my car.  That was the last time I helped someone panhandling at the street corner.

We have a local homeless man that comes into the Waffle House some mornings. The waitresses buy him a cup of coffee. But it's funny...when ever another diner offers to buy him breakfast (it does happen a good bit), he turns them down.

In re:  the McDonalds food throwing, the last time I gave food to a homeless guy I have him some of the Cheez Its I had just bought, and he yelled at me.

Last time I ever gave food to an anonymous stranger food like that. 

I was poor.  Cheez Its were a treat for me.  I was walking by with my box, and he asked for something, and I gave him some.

When we live in Eureka CA they had a great system.  Scumbag parents would rent their kids out to street corner panhandlers.  You get good handouts with a couple of waifs on display. The city finally shut them down. Another blow to free enterprise by the "man" I guess.
