MO State Fair clown dresses up as Obama and gets run down by bull

Last night, Lily and I took a student from Taiwan to the rodeo at the Missouri State Fair. Just prior to the start of the bull riding event, one of the clowns came out dressed in this. The announcer wanted to know if anyone would like to see Obama run down by a bull. The crowd went wild. He asked it again and again, louder each time, whipping the audience into a lather. One of the clowns ran up and started bobbling the lips on the mask and the people went crazy. Finally, a bull came close enough to him that he had to move, so he jumped up and ran away to the delight of the onlookers hooting and hollering from the stands. We then left quickly and quietly. Lily's student is an inquisitive boy and asks a lot of questions about what he sees, and though he had never been to a rodeo he asked nothing about it, nor anything about America this time. We rode the sixty miles home in silence. In a way I'm glad. I had no answers for him.

4. I remember when I went to see Independence Day in the theater.

When the aliens blew up the White House, the audience erupted in cheers. Clinton was President then. If I had been at a rodeo 10 years ago, and if they'd had a clown dressed up as Dubya, I would have been cheering for the bull. The country is very divided and has been for some time. Who knows what they'll think of Obama a few years after he leaves office. Clinton is popular now; Bush, not so much. We'll soon see what Obama makes of his time, good or bad.

 :rotf: :rotf:

I may not lock my doors while sitting at a red light and a black man is near, but I sure as hell grab on tight to my wallet when any democrats are close by.

Clinton has finally gotten to old to pester the women, Bush has kept a low profile and Obama, like an ingrown toe nail, will be around causing trouble for a long time.

Obumwas term is very much like Carters so my money is that he will be just like Carter after being excused from office.

OK. First of all, I doubt this is anything more than a bouncy...seriously, a Taiwanese student sponsored by a liberal? That might offend China.

That said, the reason the nameless kid was so silent may not have been shock and embarrassment, but rather fear of starting a liberal tirade while captive in a liberal's car. I've held my tongue in situations where there was no ready escape.
Who wants to hear a DU style rant for two hours in a car?

There's over 2500 comments at the little kansascity.com website.  Most of them are pointing out double standards and hypocrisy.  Some libs are sniffing, "I wouldn't have cheered this if it was a GWB mask."  Oh please, what horseshit.

Sample comment:

Quote
There is nothing funnier than the indignation of the left when behavior that they have routinely and repeated practiced, is turned on them by their opponents. There is a double standard that they, being moral relativists refuse to accept. The mockery of Bush, Reagan, Quayle, Bachmann, and Palin by the media, the academy, and Hollywood is somehow acceptable to them, but watch out if you try to do the same to Obama, Hillary, or a Kennedy. The left is shameless at best and evil at heart. They are the people of the lie.

It's ones like these that are getting all the ^ up votes.

Foreigner, what memory's of the kids youth and the music that reminds me of the  MTV  when it first came out, no more 8 track, the new CD's and the revolution of the groups and pyro's on the stage.

You made the same choice I would have done. Bravo---

Someone on Twitter posted pictures of liberals shooting birds at President Reagan & Bush White House portraits. Someone also posted a link to an article about a rodeo dummy with a Bush mask being mauled by a bull at a rodeo several years ago. No outrage about that one. Here's the Twitchy link with more...
