1,340,000 gun deaths since 1968 certainly qualifies it. The Genocide Amendment has worked quite well since it's being carried out at the hands of it's own populace.

5. I don't think the US would be all that different without guns, other than

less people getting killed. You can survive without a gun. I have for 32 years never once had the need to use one.

On the other hand, things would be very different (and for the worse) without cars.

I have survived 40 years without ever needing a fire extinguisher, only have needed a spare tire a couple of times, and haven't had to use my cell phone in an emergency. May as well get rid of all those too, right?

Oh, and I actually have a fire extinguisher in my kitchen..have kept one in there for over 20 years...never have had the need to use it...I think I'll keep one around, just in case..
