Kevin Spacey to face 7 additional sexual assault charges in UK

Actor Kevin Spacey will face an additional seven sexual assault charges in the United Kingdom, the Crown Prosecution Service said.

The charges to be filed stem from alleged incidents in 2001 and 2004, with one victim, prosecutors said. Spacey will face three counts of indecent assault, three counts of sexual assault and one count of causing a person to engage in sexual activity without consent, prosecutors said.

"The Crown Prosecution Service reminds all concerned that criminal proceedings against Mr Spacey are active and that he has the right to a fair trial," Rosemary Ainslie, head of the CPS Special Crime Division, said in a statement on Wednesday.

Spacey appeared in a London court in July to plead not guilty after Metropolitan Police formally charged him with several sexual assault charges. The previously announced charges included four charges of sexual assaults against three men and one charge of causing a person to engage in penetrative sexual activity without consent, prosecutors said.

It allowed me to enjoy Robert Heinlein in middle school and Richard Wagner in college without wincing over the actions and beliefs of the architect.

But for some reason I can't define, I'm having a difficult time separating the roles from the predator in this case, and haven't watched or re-watched one of his films since 2018 (the film Margin Call being one of my favorite contemporary movies, and in my opinion one of his best performances, is still collecting dust for the time being).

But, I am a woman who was reasonably attractive in my youth. If I told you the number of times and the types of behavior I endured during at least 30 years of my life, you might find it unfathomable. Most other women would not. Rules, mores, laws, and general decency rules change. Today what was done to me would be considered a crime, then it was just 'boys will be boys' behavior.

8. Kevin Spacey's a great actor. He's been in so many good movies, it's difficult avoiding them.

He's won two Academy Awards, a Tony Award, a Golden Globe Award, four Screen Actors Guild Awards, a British Academy Film Award, a Grammy Award and 12 Primetime Emmy Awards. I generally try to separate an artist's personal life from his/her work, but it's impossible to ignore all the sexual assault charges.

I guess all the equivocation and DUmp Spacey Love got a little to uncomfortable, so...

Not being a scifi fan or anti-fan, I scanned W'pedia's article about Heinlein. What's this DUmmie's beef? Heinlein was an Upton Sinclair Socialist (literally) in the 1930s and toward the end of his life served on an advisory committee for space policy in the Reagan administration. Is that latter this DUmmie's beef?
