In the twin eras of Jim Crow and Lynching, many blacks in those parts of the country developed an
us-vs.-them sub-culture that was at least partly protective. But it also isolated blacks who embraced it, permitting KKK-like thinking to flourish unchallenged. Where this
us-vs.-them sub-culture came into contact with other ethnic minorities, it was even more toxic. IMO, while "competition" for government bennies and for position in the hierarchy of victimhood are branches, the roots and trunk are the
us-vs.-them sub-culture.
Just to be clear, for the sake of onlurking DUpipo and miscellaneous Libs/Progs, I am
NOT saying that all or most blacks embrace this
us-vs.-them sub-culture.
