What do you suppose the Elizabeth City Police are hiding?
why won't they release the entire tape of Andrew Brown's shooting?
As I understand it, they can not release the tapes unless permitted by the court to do so? I'd think it has something to do with liability reasons. But, not sure.

3. Murder.
The man was shot in the back fleeing. These cases really puzzle me. If someone gets away it's not as if you'll never be able to find them again. Maybe it's an ego thing with some of these cops. They seem to think someone getting away temporarily is worse than killing them. I know they're allowed to shoot sometimes if it's a fleeing felon - don't agree with that either - but if it's a nonviolent crime to begin with the cop shouldn't be judge, jury and executioner. IMO opinion, the only cases where lethal force is justified is an imminent threat to life to either the cop or another person.

5. It's illegal to shoot at a fleeing felon
unless they pose immediate danger of causing deadly harm - such as they are shooting a gun at the cop while running, not just that they're running or even that they may have a gun in their possession.
Every cop in America is trained to know this. They shoot people in the back anyway.

Not quite Sonny Corleone level but there was some lead flying to hit him 5 times moving away from them in a car. I haven’t seen any video but that’s a lot if it’s with handguns.

18. It's not Elizabeth City. The shooting was by a County Sheriff.
There is nothing the city can do except try to keep the situation from getting completely out of control.
