I had an interesting interaction with a security guard yesterday morning.

Once in awhile
I find it necessary to do a combination smoke shop and burrito run and Sunday morning
is my preferred time. First I swing by the smoke shop there on 12th St. There are always
security guards present, usually tribal members and I don't worry about them too much.

But yesterday I observed that the older female guard was standing about 3 feet away
from me when I was at the counter and she was resting her right hand on the butt of
her automatic pistol. (looked like probably a .41 magnum to me) and I quietly told her that
she was making me nervous and that not all of us were a problem.

I then turned to complete my transaction and when I left I noticed that she was standing
with both hands in front of her. I gave her a cheery wave and wondered why in hell I did
that!

And yes, the burritos I got later were delicious!

The .41 Remington Magnum, .41 Magnum, or 10.4×33mmR as it is known in unofficial metric designation, is a center fire firearms cartridge primarily developed for use in large-frame revolvers, introduced in 1964 by the Remington Arms Company, intended for hunting and law enforcement purposes.

The Smith & Wesson Model 57 is a large frame, double-action revolver with a six round cylinder, chambered for the .41 Magnum cartridge, and designed and manufactured by the Smith & Wesson firearms company. The gun was designed as a weapon for law enforcement agencies. However, due to size and recoil it found more favor with civilian target shooters and hunters.

He points out the guard having her hand near the gun, but we all know the real danger is the gun jumping from its holster and shooting people.

4. A .41 Mag Auto?

.41 Mag is a revolver round.

So after being corrected, he hit the Google to find a gun that would suit his bouncy.  So, couple simple questions for the DUmmie:

1.  Since the weapon was holstered, how did you determine it was a Glock 22?  The grips on a G22 are identical to the grips on a G17 (as well as several other models of Glocks).
2.  Since the weapon was holstered, how did you determine it was a .40 S&W (or a .41 Mag)?  Other than seeing a black grip (if there is any truth to this story), the chambering could be several different options.
3.  Did the cop jump out from a bush, or maybe was she hiding in the Cheeto aisle?
4.  And, abqtommy, are you this stupid in real life, or do you just save it up for the DUmp?

Well there is at least one DUmmie in the past that claimed he could tell if a gun was loaded or not just by looking at it so....  :o
