What would happen if the economy came to a halt?
Would it be the end? or would it be an opportunity to stop most of the shit that is going on? Just how bad would it be, could it stop the gears of war?
Oh my again.
The primitives don't understand.
The primitives have been "wishing" for a stock market crash since January 20, 2001, and I doubt they're going to get one, but if the primitives got their wish, well.....one has to be careful about one wishes for.
The campfire's mostly flippant or irrational primitive comments.

10. We'd go on a trade and barter system and those with food and supplies would either ward off those without or share their supplies in a community. That's why it is a good idea to have a community set in place, where supplies and talents can be shared so that you can get by.
This is what the primitives don't understand.
When times are good for the money-makers, times are also good for the parasites; there's more social spending and somesuch, more dough to spread around, more gravy to smear around.
When times are bad for the money-makers, times are also bad for the parasites.
What would happen with a stock market crash would be a dramatic cut in social services spending, society having suddenly decided people "too 'depressed'" to work should get off their asses, that $80,000-a-year schoolteachers and $110,000-a-year governmental bureaucrats are too expensive.
The primitives should be careful what they wish for.
