Dummies gona be mad now....

Quote
Writing for the majority, Justice Samuel Alito said the law requires "equal openness" to the voting process. "Mere inconvenience cannot be enough to demonstrate a violation" of the law, he wrote.

Voting law changes may have a different impact on minority and nonminority groups, Alito said, "but the mere fact there is some disparity in impact does not necessarily mean that a system is not equally open or does not give everyone an equal opportunity to vote."

The surprising thing is John Roberts aligned with the conservatives on this in the 6-3 vote. We all know he flip-flops worse than Fauci and he absolutely, unequivocally avoids moral and ethical issues placed before the court. Just can't be bothered.

Wasn't it Marie Antoinette who allegedly said, "Let them eat cake"?

Maybe Roberts is a closet historian, focusing on the French Revolution.

You cannot really say ANY of the SCOTUS members is "conservative" except maybe Thomas.

Good to see the 9th Circus get kicked in the teeth AGAIN.

So, Arizona invalidates ballot harvesting in 2016. The Dems sue and eventually lose. Now it's the end of democracy in America. Ok sure....  :rotf:

I guess there are "degrees" of conservatism in which Thomas is most definitely more toward the right than the youngsters. The point is, Gorsuch, Kavanaugh, Coney-Barrett appear to be more toward the center, whereas Alito, IMHO, is not too far removed from Thomas on most issues. But if there's a "conservative" side to the court at all, that's where that group would be. Roberts is showing he can't be bothered with a lot of social issues.

I keep looking at GWB, who appointed Roberts, and have concluded that since Dubya snuggles up with both Clinton and 0bama, Roberts is exactly where Dubya placed him.  :whatever:
