And yet, I see the fight to live my life in peace as translating to their lives.
I have no desire to join them, but neither do I have the desire to see them destroyed. I do not approve of them, but I do not condemn them.
If you had a choice to call them allies or commit them to those who would destroy us for the sake of their own ambitions, which way would you choose?

Well, bless their hearts, but I do see and essentially agree with what you're saying.

You obviously remembered studying Homer's "Odyssey" better than I do from back in high school, years ago.

Many people don't realize that a lot of things, like silencing those you don't agree with, can be like a boomerang.
Bingo. Way too weird for me, but hey -- they can do what they wanna. Just like I have the right to ignore them, they have the right to practice their lifestyle (nonviolent) in the way they choose.

I've gotten into lots of weird ambient/noise/drone stuff over the last couple of years, so I understand the journey :cheersmate:
I listen to music for the sake of enjoying it, but Die Antwoord is a counter-culture movement in addition to a musical (as you probably know from researching them). Music for its own enjoyment aside: I firmly believe that as the Left continues to assert its authoritarian impulses, counter-culture movements will resist out of their natural tendencies.
That will make them potential - valuable - allies in the days ahead...if we can resist the impulse to criticize anyone not like us.
