Show me where christ is AGAINST abortion and calls homosexuality a sin.

Show me he was for abortion and supported homosexuality.

Abortion is the murder of innocent life and as well homosexuality is condemned as sin throughout the Bible.
Show me one place anywhere in the Bible that government enforced socialism is ever advocated.

No where in the New Testament, the Christian section, is Christ against abortion nor homosexuals. And he ORDERS people to separate church and state.
The Point.
1 Cor. 6:9-10, "Or do you not know that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, shall inherit the kingdom of God."

The Word is clear. Unrepentant (practicing) homosexuals who die in their sin, GO TO HELL. They can go to church, they can call themselves a Christian...but if they are practicing homosexuals when they die--they will spend eternity in Hell.

This passage lists a number of sins that offer the same consequences for unrepentance. An unrepentant thief goes straight to hell as well.

BUT, no other sin listed in that passage has a number of followers out to forcibly legalize their sin-calling sin a civil right.

When Jesus stopped the stoning of the adulteress, He told her to. "Go and sin no more." Repentance doesn't mean perfection, or a lack of struggle...The sin must stop! If a gay or lesbian isn't even attempting to stop the sin-They will burn: end of story.

Sam you don't get to pick and choose what you want to believe in the Word, its all or nothing. This passage in Corinthians and its corresponding passage in Romans are just as valid and inspired as the Gospels.

When was the prohibition against the elective, unprovoked taking of human life ever a matter constrained strictly to religion?

What are you talking about?  It's a fetus, actually an embryo up to the 12 weeks a woman has sole choice in the matter.  Just because you may not like science, does not mean it does not exist.

She alone has complete control of that jackass...it is called keeping her legs closed.
She can also demand a partner wears protection which is not expensive.

Your entire premise is a strawman but all lefties ever have.

And in the case of rape?  is that divine intervention from god?

And the man? Why does she have to have her legs closed? Shouldn't he not want them open until he marries her?

And if the couple decides they can't afford a child at this time and the condom broke?

The Founders believed – which the first federal education law acknowledged – that schools and education systems were a proper means to encourage "religion, morality, and knowledge" that was so "necessary to good government and the happiness of mankind." The framers of our government did not believe that encouraging religion in schools was unconstitutional; rather, they believed the opposite; only in recent decades have courts ruled otherwise.

The effect of that first federal law was quite evident in early State constitutions, for compliance with that law was a pre-requisite for the admission of a territory as a State into the Union. Therefore, when Ohio adopted its first State constitution in 1802, that document declared:

Religion, morality, and knowledge, being essentially necessary to the good government, and the happiness of mankind, schools and the means of instruction shall forever be encouraged by legislative provision.

Christian activists argue that American-history textbooks basically ignore religion — to the point that they distort history outright — and mainline religious historians tend to agree with them on this. “In American history, religion is all over the place, and wherever it appears, you should tell the story and do it appropriately,” says Martin Marty, emeritus professor at the University of Chicago, past president of the American Academy of Religion and the American Society of Church History and perhaps the unofficial dean of American religious historians. “The goal should be natural inclusion. You couldn’t tell the story of the Pilgrims or the Puritans or the Dutch in New York without religion.”

Ah yes, the bigotry of the left comes out. People of faith are monsters. No one is more intolerant than the left.

Christ is NOT against abortion nor homosexuals.
Yes he is. And I'm not going to let an atheist tell me what the Son of God supports or not. that's not your call.

That sure is a hell of a thing to base a country on and even though dems always promise the door to the candy store is open when people find out the true cost they turn the other way.

Pastor John MacArthur: Democrats ‘Adopted The Sins of Romans 1 As Their Platform’

Quote
(CNSNews.com) – Evangelical pastor and author John MacArthur said that the Democratic Party has “adopted the sins of Romans 1 as their platform."

“And as you know,” MacArthur told his Southern California congregation on Sept. 30, “I’m not one to talk about politics as such, but I was essentially amazed that one of the historic parties here in the United States adopted the sins of Romans 1 as their platform. This is a new day in our country. Parties which used to differ on economics now differ dramatically on issues that invade the realm of God’s law and morality.”

MacArthur is an author, pastor of Grace Community Church in Sun Valley, Calif., president of The Master’s College and Seminary, and a teacher at Grace to You media ministry.

“In an ideal situation, their platform would mean that the government passes out condoms so people can fornicate at will,” said MacArthur. “For those who happen to get pregnant in the process, the platform advocates that you kill the baby at the will of the mother, up and including the ninth month.”

“At the same time,” he said, “it advocates homosexual marriage, which is an oxymoron, an utter impossibility, and a gross violation of the law of God. And then, to add to that, the murder of abortion and then the platform originally leaving God out. All of that is Romans 1.

"Romans 1 says God will judge, God has judged, throughout human history, nations that experience sexual freedom," he said. "Romans Chapter 1 lays that out clearly. The wrath of God is revealed from Heaven against those who advocate sexual freedoms, sexual conduct outside of marriage. And that's an indication of a demise of a nation.

"And then Romans 1 also says God will judge those nations that advocate homosexual behavior, men with men, women with women, doing what is unnatural," said Pastor MacArthur. "They are also haters of God, haters of God."

The Democratic Party voted to include support for same-sex marriage in the party’s platform at the 2012 Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, N.C.  At the convention, the party also affirmed its endorsement of Obamacare, which includes a regulation requiring virtually all health-care plans to cover, without co-pay, sterilizations, contraceptives, and abortion-inducing drugs.

Upon approving the platform, the audience initially “booed” a reference to God, although the mention of God was ultimately kept in the party’s platform.

But MacArthur is not the first person to not the contrast between the Christian views espoused in St. Paul's Letter to the Romans and Democratic Party views on such issues as homosexual marriage and abortion is not new one.

As CNSNews.com reported in 2008, then-Senator Barack Obama (D-Ill.) told a crowd at a campaign stop in Nelsonville, Ohio that the Sermon on the Mount is “more central” to his faith “than an obscure passage in Romans.”

Obama Gay Marriage

"I don't think it [a same-sex union] should be called marriage,” Obama said, “But I think that it is a legal right that they should have that is recognized by the state. If people find that controversial, then I would just refer them to the Sermon on the Mount, which I think is, in my mind, for my faith, more central than an obscure passage in Romans."

Three days later, Obama told ABC’s Good Morning America co-host Robin Roberts that his views on gay marriage were “evolving” and that the issue of gay marriage is also an issue of “how we treat other people.” Citing his Christian faith, Obama added that the root of his faith is “not only Christ sacrificing himself on our behalf,” but also the Golden Rule: “Do to others as you would have them do to you.”

Quote
In Romans 1, it states:

26 That is why God abandoned them to degrading passions:

27 why their women have exchanged natural intercourse for unnatural practices; and the men, in a similar fashion, too, giving up normal relations with women, are consumed with passion for each other, men doing shameful things with men and receiving in themselves due reward for their perversion.

28 In other words, since they would not consent to acknowledge God, God abandoned them to their unacceptable thoughts and indecent behaviour.

29 And so now they are steeped in all sorts of injustice, rottenness, greed and malice; full of envy, murder, wrangling, treachery and spite,

30 libellers, slanderers, enemies of God, rude, arrogant and boastful, enterprising in evil, rebellious to parents,

31 without brains, honour, love or pity.

32 They are well aware of God's ordinance: that those who behave like this deserve to die -- yet they not only do it, but even applaud others who do the same.

Ah yes, the depravity of homosexuality and the liberal high holy act of killing babies. No wonder you are a liberal, the sins of Romans 1 are your platform. This is why liberals fear and loathe the gospel, everything they hold dear are clearly called sin.

Face it Sam I am, in a democracy religious people are FREE to to run, get elected, and to change the law.
Or do it the liberal way, file law suits and force your opinion upon the entire country.

Mr. Dodd,

I was interested in a conservative view.     You are certainly entitled to your views.   I can tell you you are not liberal engough.   You want true liberalisim.......

Don't just make gay marriage allow incest and polygamy.
You are haters of alternative lifestyles in my mind if you do not agree.

Don't just open the doors for women to do what they will with abortion.
Let everyone be allowed to kill themselves on pay per view if it is their body.   Allow any and all drugs at any time.   All this infriges on the rights of men and women to control their bodies.

You are against choice if you do not agree.

Taking alternative views out of public school no matter how ridiculous you think they are is thought control.   I learned of greek gods in school should this be banned as religious?   What about dawkins clearly anti god agenda should it never be taught either?   How bout allowing all ideas to be taught so freedom can reign and thought control can be banned from the public.   Stop telling people what they may believe at school.     You are close minded if you do not allow people to express religious and political ideas as students.

Again you are anti choice, close minded and a hater...........   If you do not  believe all such things.

What are you talking about?  It's a fetus, actually an embryo up to the 12 weeks a woman has sole choice in the matter.  Just because you may not like science, does not mean it does not exist.
Science makes it clear that the embryo and the fetus...(both words that mean "offspring," by the way...just another way of saying child, don't you know)...have their own DNA, their own reproductive organs, their own arms, legs, hands, feet, eyes, brain.  They are not a part of the mother's body, they are simply housed within...just as you are not a part of your mother's basement no matter how long you live there.

In fact, medical science has made it quite clear that the unborn is fully human by using parts of those murdered infants in all sorts of treatments and experiments.

Oh, and then there is the medical fact that every time a woman carries one of those creatures to term, it actually comes out a human...not one single incidence of it coming out a cat or a monkey or an elephant...every single one is a human.  Just as he or she was a human all through the pregnancy.  Medical science does not believe the liberal lie that the child is just a mass of cells until it magically becomes human though the trip down the birth canal or the c-section incision.

No, a woman should have a right to birth control to control the number of children she wants, when she wants them and by whom.  If the birth control fails and she wants to end the pregnancy, then abortion is available to her.  THat's HER right to her choices on reproduction.   NOT yours.

Sides, between the baptist ministers and the catholic churches hiding pedophiles, you get kinda suspicious as to why the religious right is against abortion...want to just keep feeding new young ones to abuse to your ministers and priests?

Christ is NOT against abortion nor homosexuals.
Don't be ridiculous. Christ loves children and most certainly hates those that murder them.

And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me.

But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and [that] he were drowned in the depth of the sea.

Even so it is not the will of your Father which is in heaven, that one of these little ones should perish.

...

And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made [them] at the beginning made them male and female,

And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh?

If you're going to lie about Him, you should be more careful to pick topics He actually didn't discuss.

As for pedophiles, about 2% of Catholic priests abused boys.  3% of the general population abuses boys.  That means a kid is statistically safer with a priest than with, well, YOU, Sam.

Why do liberals always want to murder babies, Sam?  What has any baby done to you?  Did one puke on you, and that's why you are all in favor of letting women murder them??

The left loves to bring up the Catholic pedophiles, yet we see story after story where some teacher or some child care worker has abused children, and a lot of times there was an attempted cover up just like in the church. Yet they only blast the church for their sins and excuse the schools. It must be a coincidence that they don't blast the institution full of liberals and blast the one full of conservatives.

True conservatives have been saturated with the lies that we are racist, old people, one percenters and only evangelical white men.   I am begining to fall into the category of an older non minority man.   (still under 50).

I want to really know if you are conservative and fall into non traditional conservative category ie..    young , female, atheist, homosexual, other than pasty white or liberal in other areas such as drugs.   I believe people can believe in conservative values and be any color, age , sex or orientation.

What I want to know is i am about to put a lot of time into this movement.  Years if necessary.   I want to know if we can be the all inclusive party I think we should be.    Everyone should want less government and liberty.   I want to know if this is a winable war or if we might as well fold the doors because only old white men will vote for it.   Quite frankly old whitey is way outnumbered.  The promise of political paradise the democrats promise will never come,  however the false dream is luring the majority.  The democratic voter is voting for their own enslavement.

jctejas

The reality is we are inclusive, we allow anyone who shares our beliefs of limited government to join us. We don't care about race, age, or sex. If you have at least a mostly conservative viewpoint we welcome you with open arms. We have Allen west, Herman Cain, Tim (I forget his last name from SC), Marco Rubio, Mia Love, Sarah Palin, Michelle Bachman, and many others. These people sadly are blasted by the left with the most vile and disgusting names.

Here at CC the area of most agreement is in economic policy. We have some folks who aren't as strict on the "social issues", like myself. The only social issue that I am hard core on, is pro life. I also oppose gay marriage, because of the religious implications of marriage, I am fine with civil unions or whatever for the legal rights.

I am agnostic and we have a few others that are atheists.

It may sound weird that an agnostic would care about the religious implications of marriage, but I believe that in a free society we have no business telling the church what to believe.

I am also against the government forcing free birth control, if you want privacy in your bedroom don't send us a bill for your birth control.

I would just like to take the time to remind my fellow conservatives about something that they already know.

Liberals don't make an argument, what they do is start a discussion and then they they toss out strawmen and move the goalposts.

After reading this thread this is what Sam Dodd does, and for that matter all liberals, they make a starting premise and then after that they start squirming all over the place.

The liberal is making a fighting withdrawal, you need to try keep the idiot focused on its original statement and not allow it to change the parameters of the fight
