Not me, only one left to push out of my nest.  And I've designed the new house with no spare rooms. As Shakespeare would say- "Out! Damn spot!"

Good plan.  lol

Is it normal for President's to sign autographs?

I flipped over hoping it went back to normal scheduled television shows and saw a bunch of groupies wanting their boob signed.

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle

Crap, not bad stuff, then more crap.

He started off calling for calm political discourse because of Arizona, blah blah blah, making it political still.  Then he talked about cutting out taxation loopholes for special interest groups, which I agree with.  But then went back to raising taxes on the top 2% of earners.  What caught me was the way he phrased it...."We're not punishing success, we're promoting the American dream."  WTF???  Then he went on and on about how he and Congress will achieve a lot of bipartisan crap and how we should fix Obamacare instead of destroying it.  Then the teleprompter broke down and he was forced to read the back of his pack of Newports until power was restored and it was over.

It sounds like I missed absolutely nothing except heartburn by not watching President Teleprompter.  Chris, you were right, this would have been better had it turned into a book thread.  Personally, I began a book tonight by an author I've not read before and she writes almost as well as CalPeg. :lmao:

National Journal has the prepared speech ahead of time.

Obama to Declare 'The Rules Have Changed'

OOOOOOOOOOOOH, I'm sick. I see he plans for 80% of us to be using public transportation.......the government elite will have gummint cars, right? And we've shipped enough jobs to China and Korea that we've improved their economy enough that now we're going to ship jobs to Colombia and some other South American country.

I skipped around and read some of his speech and wrote a poem.

A paragraph here
A paragraph there
Do you care
I lost more hair

What the heck
We'll send a check

Holey Maloley.

Five hundred and some views, and eight pages of comments.

I had no idea it would turn out this way.

Sorry guys, but I had planned for it to be sarcasm, decent and civilized people having so little, or even no, interest in the topic that they wouldn't even react.

But whatever.  All's well that ends well.

So, everybody, how did the ball punching go?
“The national budget must be balanced. The public debt must be reduced; the arrogance of the authorities must be moderated and controlled. Payments to foreign governments must be reduced, if the nation doesn't want to go bankrupt. People must again learn to work, instead of living on public assistance.”
