Care to defend your position? What leads you to believe she is either brainless or a bimbo?

Just listen to her talk.

We've de-evolved from a nation of Jefferson and Adams and Washington to this twit.

I don't dislike Palin. I just don't think she's the sharpest tool in the shed and the best candidate to put forth the values of the Republic.

I have listened to her talk. I think her ideas are right up the alley of Jefferson, Adams and Washington.

Carter is a PhD. Obama went to top schools.

Again. Can you provide specifics of "brainless" and "bimbo"?

I find her dedicated to her family and plain spoken. I'm not saying she can win the presidency, but I think "brainless" and "bimbo" is a bit unfair, especially without specific examples.

OK. Point conceded. "Brainless" and "Bimbo" were a bit extreme.

He's right. She's a joke. She's a brainless bimbo who should stick to what she knows best: "reality TV". Krauthammer and Gingrich could run circles around her.

If, of course, Krauthammer could run...  Seriously, though, he's heavily a Fiscal/Foreign Policy Conservative, with only a spotty investment in the Libertarian Conservative or Social Conservative issues of concern.  Fiscal policy is important but issues of the Constitution and limits of Federal power come first for me, and important as the national debt issue may be, it doesn't even directly raise major Constitutional issues.

Gingrich, I've always perceived as just too arrogant and convinced of his own brilliance to be worth a damn, and in all the out-of-cycle elections during the first two years of Obama's reign he has been on the side of every RINO running against an actual Conservative (Or just not-As-RINO) every last damned time.

You have a smooth talker in Obama where sugar would not melt in his mouth. I guess you want a RINO like Romney. A sharp dresser and a smooth talker plus he is from your neck of the woods who thinks he is so smart. Let's see,, all the braino's like Clinton, Bush, Obama, Palusen, Greenspan, Uncle Ben, Larry Summers, Barney Fag, Dodd, etc went to Ivy league schools. Out of control spending and/or the decline of the economy is a direct or indirect result of their economic policies. This country can not afford another educated fool for President. Just give me someone with above average intelligence that has some f......k common sense and has done something besides being a career politician. Palin meets my criteria. I think she will run and beat the pants off of Obama. BTW, Krawhammer can KMY as he is one of these elitist know it all eastern establishment Repubs.

I saw one of the Fox shows, I think it was Bret Baier's...where Krauthammer said he gave Palin no chance of winning in 2012. This was before Christmas. He was not nearly as negative as the article makes him out to be.

He did say that Palin's "chances of winning were rather weak"...and he's right. She is very polarizing as the majority of people either like her or don't like her as a presidential candidate. There are not a whole lot of people who are in the middle as far as her as a presidential candidate. He also said that does not mean that she would not be a viable candidate in the future, as that could be a possibility.

He said that the Repulicans are going to have to come up with a very strong candidate for president in 2012, because if the country shows economic improvement the next two years, and Obama decides to make supreme efforts in working with the Republicans and implementing some of their suggestions/policies.... Obama will get reelected....just as Clinton did. He also said that was a big IF because he does not think that Obama is going to do as Clinton did, that Obama will continue to do as he has for the last 2 years.

If he likes Obama, he has an odd way of showing it! He is quite critical of Obama, and does not even appear to have any respect for him.

Just hand over the chocolate...back away slowly...far away....and you won't get hurt....

Oh, he doesn't, not at all.  In fact he wasn't one of the Foxers on the 'Triangulation genius move' bandwagon on Obama's tardy and reluctant tax compromise.  Krauthammer is very astute and I greatly enjoy his analysis, it is always very sharply-reasoned even if I don't necessarily agree with it all the time, but like us all he does have his own pet rocks, and the focal point of his own brand of Conservatism is very much a fiscal/foreign relations matter.

Totally agree with your assessment of Gingrich. Plus, he allowed himself to be steamrolled by Clinton. I believe he's intelligent, but I don't like his brand of "conservatism."

I do not see Krawhammer bashing liberal/moderate Repubs like Romney. May be just my disgust for those that have to take potshots at real conservatives on a frequent basis. I have got news for Krawhammer and his elite buddies that think they are so damn smart...put up a RINO and I will stay home. A lot of Southerners feel the same way as I do. I voted for McCain. So he can keep on high horse and Repubs will lose again.

It is foolish to think that a committed ultra liberal like Obama will change spots. He will put out olive branches for Repubs like the tax extension with 300 billion in new spending and Repubs will fall for it. Repubs are just a bunch of dumb ass's that get tricked over and over. Predictions are that the economy will get marginally better and that unemployment will remain very high. I see nothing that Obama will do to improve small business creation. He has never invited a small business owner to the WH.

No beef with any of what you say, lacarnut.  The one thing that could get Obama's ass kicked in '12 is four-to-five-dollar gas, and his indefinite drilling ban could be the self-inflicted wound that takes us there.  It'd be painful, but I'd pay that price to dump him.

I'd suffer through those gas prices, even with the higher prices on everything else they entail to be rid of Obumbler.

I should be one of Obama's ardent admirers because I have made a killing off my investments in gold, silver and palladium. The price of oil going up is not going to hurt my two oil royalty checks either. However, I do not want to see this country turn into the chaos of Greece, Ireland, Greece and Spain. Without fiscal austerity, we headed for the crapper.

My take on the next election is that if we do not get an outsider who has not been a career politician, we are headed downhill. Most politician disgust me. So, I want someone that has ran a business who will turn DC upside down. I think Palin is that person, and I think that is why Krawhammer and elitists from both parties do not like her.

BTW, are you writing a book? There is no degree that qualifies him/her for the Presidency...just ask Bill Clinton. We could shoot half the lawyers and the country would be in much better shape. The fact she is not one and had experience in a business is a big plus in my book.

  • This election is about paychecks v. food stamps
The so called elites in Washington threw just as much cold water on Reagan ... if not more.

To hell with them.

If some anti-american idiot that nobodys heard of and nobodys sure where he came from and nobodys sure of his school records making broad vacuous insubstantial promises such as "hope" and "change" to "57 states" can get elected to the highest office in the land then ...

I reckon a plain spoken person can be too.

Yeah ... I'm gonna let Kraublather and people like him presume to think they know better than me ...

Like hell I am. He and his ilk are the reason we got the current scum running the country. The election is still a long way off. Anything can happen between now and then. And probably will. I for one am not willing to let him (or the MSM) "set the table" for me this far out with his or their subtle or not so subtle psychobabble.

Krauthammer can go "play in traffic" for all I care. Long live Sara Palin!

I never hear much criticism from Krawhammer and Rove on other Republicans. However, they sure take pot shots at Palin on a regular basis. Could it be that they do not like her ideas on government? I think that is the ticket. However, what do you expect from educated Ivy leaguers who think they know everything. She has more common sense than these two birds put together.

On the plus side Obama has been to 57 states with one more to go, and when his teleprompter goes on the blink he becomes a bumbling idiot.

He/she/it can NOT show the link because she said "that the two countries are neighboors and that you can SEE Russia from AK" which is accurate. Two islands off each countries coast is separated by only 2.5 miles. Too bad these partisan pricks have to make up things about her cause the gaffs between Obummer and half a brain Joe would fill a book. Someone will probably write one to show what ignoramus's they were.

Vesta: let's make a little bet. You are a liar.

Hard to remember that far back but I do remember her comments about that when she was running for VP had some of us really surprised--as in Russia was our only foreign neighbor forgeting about Canada at her door step.--

Excuse me Splash but one cannot remember EVERYTHING that happend years ago.

A liar knows the truth and twists it to be self serving, I have no dog in this race, YET,--- and now I am wondering why You would call me a liar for repeating what I believe happend.    It could be I heard it on a anti Palin news Chanel or the radio for gosh sake.

You need to realise that we of the ordinary public are bombarded by conflicting views and some of this sticks in the mind.  We are not lying when we repeat what may have been said a few years ago, we are just repeating what we remember--if we are wrong, so be it someone will correct us.
