When people stop believing in God they start believing in Big Government and Obamaism

A new study has found that belief in a God may be inversely correlated to belief in Government.
A sense of political stability provides comforting reassurance that our world is orderly and controlled. So does belief in an all-powerful deity. This puts the two in a seesaw relationship: When one goes up, the other goes down.

Obviously people who live in chaotic and anarchic parts of the world and who subsequently live in squalor are more likely to be religious. And until a society reaches high levels of education and wealth religion is unlikely to lose its grip. However there is more to it than that:

Not sure if this fits here , in politics or general.  This does sort of explain why socialists, communists and other dictatorial forms of government tend to be anti-religious.

Obama inherited God's deficits.

That's only half snark.

Liberals seem to have this unshakeable moral worldview and it seems to contrast theists. Unless I miss my mark: Christians believe Creation to be good an man to be fallen; liberals seem to believe Creation is unfair but man is good.

There can be no appeal to a higher natural order because nature is unfair but people are victims so they best to create their own savior--government. It is the idol they seek to heal the sick and cure the blind...and preach the new gospel.
According to the Bible, "know" means "yes."

Himmmmmmm would you say this about the Chinese hoards that road thousands of miles to destroy a very different civilisation from theres.? They were there for the riches and controll, no religion imposed.

The Invaders from Europe into South America, or the Christian Crusades.? this was for the goods not for religion. That was their excuse, but not to mention gold and slaves.

The Vikings came to England not to impose their faith but to gain riches from the churches they plundered. The land they could gain and naturally slaves.

Actually I would think it was the religious thinking of the time that was used as an excuse to plunder and destroy and gain lands that were the problem.

What is different today, we have people that wish to impose their beliefs as an excuse to do as the people have done for thousands of years--to gain our green fields, our riches and gather more slaves.

Interesting article indeed.
But, I can tell you right now. I will ALWAYS believe in God, NEVER in big government or especially that imposter occupying the White Mosque.

First and foremost - comparing God to a man-made entity is blasphemy of the highest order.

Secondly - the 72.01289962 years of your pathetic lives you spend on this planet, is nothing, zero, compared to an eternity spent burning in a lake of fire in hell.

Big government doesn't believe in God! Big government only DEMANDS you pay your taxes and follow the regulations that justify their existence.

Savvy morons?

I don't believe in god, or big government.  So...  the premise is false?

You're a statistical outlier.
