First off...Afghanistan DOES have a standing Army you obtuse dolt.  Because we are here...what passed for the "standing Army" in this country prior to 2001...you know them as al-Qaeda wasn't able to successfully pull off anymore 9/11 style attacks.

Informationw e get from being here...in Iraq and otehr places is what allows us to thwart attempts to send explosives in toner cartridges and stop thosands of attacks every year that you and I will never know about.

But you go ahead and keep repeating the asinine claim that you don't need us here or anywhere else where we are currently engaged to keep you safe.

You should be thankful to the men and women in the military today regardless.  Because of the 1% of us that volunteer...then continue to re-enlist and serve..your sorry unappreciative ass doesn't have to serve.  You get to sit back and rah rah with the folks that claim we need a draft again to end the war...backslap the people who hold up signs calling us babykillers and saying they'd support us if we shot our officers.  Because you have ZERO knowledge or comcept of the military and don't have any desire to.
