Geitner condemns tax cheats
« on: March 08, 2009, 07:31:22 AM »
Geitner, in a news conference, says that he condemns anyone who would cheat the US out of tax revenue. He further went on to say that the Treasury would go after anyone trying to cheat or defraud the Government on taxes. He particularly wants to target off shore accounts held by Americans.
I mean, can you get anymore HIPOCRITICAL than this. He really does think we're idiots.

You got a link to this one?  I'm gonna love grinding this into the libs faces on the local board.

So, it's officially policy to go after tax cheats?  Anyone wanna place bets on whether the auditor shows up at Geitner's office on Monday?

I want to see him go after one of the US biggest tax cheats. George Soris with his billions offshore is shaking in his boots by this pipsqueak's announcement. Being a Democratic contributor icon, it is not going to happen. Geithner should cease his dog and pony show. It would be nice if the smartest dude in the entire financial world could come up with a banking plan that would pacify those Wall Street investors. Like Obama, I think that's above his pay grade.

My guess is that they'll hit small business owners the hardest, and it won't be "tax cheats" but merely people that have made some honest mistakes on their tax returns.
