Title: American Blackout
Post by: BlueStateSaint on October 24, 2013, 06:02:02 PM
That's the title of a movie that's going to be on the National Geographic channel Sunday, October 27th, at 9 PM Eastern.  The plot is that there's a cyber attack on the power grid along the East Coast, which cascades into Texas (don't know yet if it makes it to the West Coast).  It's shot through the points of view of a few different people--a family of preppers, a bunch of college kids in a dorm, a hipster couple in Manhattan, and others.

The site is:  http://channel.nationalgeographic.com/channel/american-blackout/episodes/american-blackout/

It looks interesting.  Gonna have to watch it.

Doesn't sound very plausible, but meh.

Add to that the fact it's going up against The Walking Dead, double meh.

I have a cook stove that uses sticks, pine cones and anything that can burn as fuel.
Not too worried about eating.

If an attack of that magnitude really does hit, it will only be the first volley. Nukes will surely follow.
