Hmmm.

One wonders why the big guy's been posting silly stuff lately.

He's supposed to be advertising his campaign plank, not this meaningless junk.

What does that post have to do with his running for office let alone the price of horseshit in Texas?

You got me.

One wonders why the big guy doesn't comment about why he's running.

That would mean Socialist Steve Dawes has to show the world who he is before the primary and he can't do that.

Well, if he can't do it, I hope someone else can do it for him.

So.....I just read where the big guy publicly and openly stated he's afraid he's in the earlier stages of Alzheimer's.

Should someone with Alzheimer's be in public office, governing?

Not if the DUmmies' reaction to Reagan's announcement is any indication....

Lunesta and I part ways after 3 years

I've often let my dear friends here on the DU in on my private life. I started taking Lunesta 3 years ago. I had just been illegally fired and couldn't sleep. I'm having some problems now that may be side effects. I'm not going into details. Marta says they started before I realized it. I started cold turkey last night. I'll be home for a few days hoping I don't suffer some of the withdrawal symptoms others have had. I'll be very much on pins and needles the next few weeks. IF the problems aren't from Lunesta, it's a probable I'm in the early stages of Alzheimer's.

OS

(Edit) P.S. I have sleep apnea. I've been on a cpap machine since 2001.

This is very troubling.  The guy's in worse shape than Richard Cheney or Chris Christie, who the primitives think shouldn't be in a position of public office because of their (other) health matters.

So the daughter of socialist Steve Dawes of Bellevue Nebraska shot an elected official?
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

I think that it says it was lazer tag so no harm was done. However if the kid takes after Socialist OmahaSteve then she probably couldn't hit the side of a barn from the inside.

Well, but according to the primitives, even play-acting shooting isn't kosher.

Remember the stink the primitives made shortly after the Gabriel Giffords shooting; the bull's-eye controversy.

By the way, did anybody know the big guy's afraid of ghosts?

Really.

I kid you not.  He believes in them, and is afraid of them.

Seriously.

But he's bought autographs from the entire cast of "Car 54, Where Are You".

He identifies with Gunther Toody, which is strange, since Officer Toody showed up for work every day.

Socialist Steve is the first person I've heard of who is hired into the police department BECAUSE he's disabled.

Of course he'll be swabbing toilets and scraping mud out of cruiser fender wells, but it still sounds strange.

And within a week he'll figure some way to go onto even lighter duty.

I guess that's just the way public employees' unions work.

In a blue hellhole like Omaha, their contracts are negotiated with democrats on both sides of the table.

I wonder how popular all that is in Bellevue.

But again, Ward 1 may be a quarantined infestation of socialists, so who knows.

With that much competing ego in one room, it's a wonder anyone walks out of there alive.
"We make men without chests and expect of them virtue and enterprise. We laugh at honor and are shocked to find traitors in our midst. We castrate and then bid the geldings to be fruitful."

C.S. Lewis

A community may possess all the necessary moral qualifications, in so high a degree, as to be capable of self-government under the most adverse circumstances; while, on the other hand, another may be so sunk in ignorance and vice, as to be incapable of forming a conception of liberty, or of living, even when most favored by circumstances, under any other than an absolute and despotic government.

John C Calhoun, "Disquisition on Government", 1840
