The spousal unit likes that extra cheesy macaroni and cheese stuff, too.  It's too much for me to eat more than a little of it, though.

I have two:

Popcorn with melted butter, sprinkled with nutritional yeast.

Saltine crackers with mayonnaise sprinkled with cayenne pepper.

The creamed chipped beef on a grilled cheese sandwitch is something I have  got to try.

Best comfort food in my life is condensed tomato soup made with half and half,  a grilled cheese sandwitch and potato chips.

Winter time, a big bowl of corn chowder and Oyster Crackers.

Summer time,   a Pasta salad with every vegetable one can think of and lots of ice cold lemonaid.

Summer:  a warm tomato (straight from the yard) sandwich on rye with mayo, corn on the cob and the cold pasta salad that I make.  Bacon cheeseburgers from the charcoal grill. Creamsicles . . . and regular fruit popsicles too.

Winter:  NE Clam Chowdah with OTC crackers smashed into it.  Meatloaf and garlic mashed potatoes.  Warm loaf of fresh bread -- French, Italian, sourdough, etc.

Probably more but I'm currently eating lunch which is half of a garlic bread cheesesteak -- TO DIE FOR!

The Elvis sandwitch,   Grill cheese with bacon, peanut butter, a slice of red onion.

The sandwitch of peanut butter and a couple thin pickle slice.

Some of the poorer kids came to school with ketchup sandwitches and an apple.  I had school lunch that was so bad at times I envied the kids with the Ketchup sandwitches.

That's close to my favorite also.  But mine has noodles and just a few crumbled chips on top.  Now that's comfort food to me.  Tuna noodle hotdish.
