Todd Palin addressed a crowd of 75 fellow sportsmen at a gun club this morning as part of a three-event campaign swing through Pennsylvania.

The husband of the Republican vice presidential candidate, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, told supporters that it is important to have a ticket that "supports our core values -- hunting and fishing." Mr. Palin, who is new to the campaign trail, spoke for only three minutes at the Pitcairn-Monroeville Sportmen's Club
.

Kinda sums it up.

:rotf: :rotf:  How desperate must they be to make a comparison like this??   :rotf: :rotf:

The Dodgers sell out every year.

That doesn't make them a  good team (although they were better this year).

The messiahnfuhrer crowds are people looking at a curiosity -- they just want to be able to say they were "there" at a historic occasion (I admit that hussein is historic as a 1/2 black man who is a finalist for POTUS).

What I can't understand is why DU is so frantic, surely they must believe that Obama has it in the bag.

They want to contribute to the meme of "inevitibility."

To their benefit, a lot of them do see just how stupid the comparison is.  Some still claim Jill Biden would draw more people.

I dunno, I'm sure she's a nice lady, but Joe doesn't actually stand for anything in particular except giving giant credit card banks every possible break he can, a endeavor that hardly has any potential to involve one's spouse as outdoor sports might.  Do they even have a "Spouses of Nonentity Banking Industry Puppets Club"...?

no, it makes them popular.

I swear, you must have a quota for the number of times per month that you dump on the dodgers. :uhsure: :-)

It is 6 -- I am at 4.  And I gave them props for their run this year.

And my analogy holds vs a vis the OP.

Todd Palin is running for President?

That was my question, upon seeing the title of the thread.

Todd Palin is the husband of the Republican candidate for the vice-presidency.

The Big Zero is the Democrat candidate for the presidency.

By the way, has anyone noticed something something peculiar going on here?

Why is the McCain-Palin campaign spending so much time and hopes in certain blue states?

Do they know something we don't, and the mainstream media won't tell us?

Think about it, folks.

Good point.  We hear first, what the media want to say, and second, whatever winds up accessible on the 'net.  But they see their reception, the actual attitude of the people.  Polls certainly don't tell the whole story...

Here in Los Angeles we are getting messiahnfuhrer commercials about 1-2 an hour -- even in prime time.

I think the question about holding his base may very much be in play.  Airtime in L.A. ain't cheap!

first they compare numbers between That One and Sarah - A presidential nominee VS a VP nominee. At many rallies nowadays that doesnt work out so well for them anymore. So now they are going to compare numbers between That One and a surrogate who holds no office, no is he running for one.

The Messiah is coming to Wisconsin sometime this week, I think, or maybe he was here last week.  At any rate, WI has been a blue state for the last 5 or so elections, since '88, if memory serves. He hasn't been here since the primary so maybe I am reading too much into it.  It just seems like this close the election, why?

It's every commercial break on every broadcast medium here in battleground MO, and the same one or two commercials over and over and over and over and over and over.  My personal impression is that it reached the point of diminishing returns some time prior to the last debate, by now it's having a simiiar effect that saturation commercials for Zima would have on beer drinkers at this point.

What I gathered from the DUmp. They're only 75 sane gun owners in a small Pennsylvaia town and Todd Palin doesn't beat around the bush with BS like politicians when he speaks. ....and 100,000 drunk Germans showed up for a rock concert and got Big "O" instead.

remember the priamries.  obama drew a bazillion people in ohio, and lost.  he drew huge throngs in wisconsin, and lost.  he drew tens of thousands in NH, and lost.

75 people at a gun shop is pretty damn big considering the venue.

I bet there's a reason (other than racism) why Obama would never show-up with 75 armed, free citizens in the same room.
According to the Bible, "know" means "yes."

I talked to a guy who went to the rally in St. Louis.  He said there where a LOT of loonies out there.
