Spreading the wealth is providing opportunities for the lower and middle classes to increase their financial stability. And yes, one method to do that is to have them pay lower taxes than the welthier stratuses of society. What is complicated or hard to understand about that?

What doesn't Joe the plumber get? What doesn't John McCain get?

In fact, this seems like John McCain just trying to keep his and Cindy's taxes lower since they will be one of the very small percentage of Americans who would pay a little more. He's just another member of the Republican "I've Got Mine" Club.

Could be that Joe, John and I consider that to be simple theft.

Well, Pheebs, where does "THE Wealth" actually come from?  The Government has to take it away from somebody as taxes first, before they can hand it out to someone else, no?  And there is nothing in the Obamessiah's plan that would actually GROW businesses to increase the tax revenue stream from them without raising rates, just the opposite.  In fact, everything he proposes will raise the cost of doing business and more harshly penalize profits, which has three predictable effects:  Reduction of stock value, lower net tax revenue, and increased incentives to offshore production operations.

No, what will happen is that everyone will have their taxes jacked up 20-35%.  Then, oh stupid DUmpmonkey, what do you think the people with capital will do? 

They will run from our economy and.......minorities, women, and children will be hurt the most.  As all liberal plans work.

This whole "redistribution of wealth" comment by Hussein has them all worked up.  They can't even call it socialism, much less what it really is, communism.  If the DUmp was the only place you ever went to observe, you'd be lead to believe the Constitution demands that money be stripped from those who make it by working hard and given to those who don't work at all.

But I suppose it's unrealistic that a primitive would give us the answer.

I mean, even Pedro Picasso has a second home; why isn't he giving the spare one to a homeless person?

And many of the primitives--most notably the Bostonian Drunkard, but there's others such as the skumbag primitive, the grazing primitive (the "jgraz" primitive), the kaput primitive (the "kpete" primitive), the carpetbagging maternal ancestress (the "Raven" primitive), the packing mama primitive (the "Pachamama" primitive) &c., &c., &c., with all these trust funds and investments.

And even someone as modestly-placed as the low-calorie primitive (the "SoCalDem" primitive) seem to enjoy some, uh, rather surplus affluence that could be shared with those with less.

But no, the primitives think like Vast Teddy: "you give up yours, and I'll keep mine, and it's all copacetic."
