Newspaper covers Barre and Montpelier, Vermont.
I don't think on the lilliputian scale of Vermont, that's anywhere near the Madwoman of Hardwick, although on the scale of Nebraska or Missouri, it'd be just a few minutes' country stroll.
There's the vindictive primitive, the "Vinca" primitive, and I dunno where in Vermont she lives, but that doesn't sound like her.
Which leaves the "garybeck" primitive, the one with the solar-powered yellow bus, but his "cause" is the late red round one and voting "reform," so it's probably not him either.
<<<knows only three primitives from Vermont, but there's probably hundreds.
Dear Frank, Vermont is an interesting State with thousands of interesting people living there.
We use to drive up through the mountains of New Hampshire for the scenery and to view a world wonder, our Old Man of the Mountain. Don't do that no more, the wonderful State of NH had so little value on this treasure that it spent very little money to preserve the natural formation that drew in the tourest money and was a symbol of the State. One of a kind in the world it was said.
Driving down the road one day listening to talk radio a Boston reporter came on to announce that during the night the Old Man had, due to little care slid off the mountain and was no more. I was as surprised as quite a few other drivers and had to pull off the road.
Cover up, cover up, a national and state treasure gone.
So when we decided to take a lookie loo later, we got lost some how and ended up in Vermont, Montpelier and decided to spend the night and look around.
We found the police had blocked off roads for some kind of a bike race, here came a couple hundred people riding their bikes stark naked. That was something we had never seen before.
We spent the night in a small B&B and when I asked the other guests if they had seen the race, it was the reason they had come to this town, to partcipate in the race. WOW, what is in the water in this state ???
Please don't get me wrong here, had we known about the race most likely we would have grabbed a camera and gone to take pictures, however, this was not SF. or a Rainbow Gathering, we had just driven out of Gods Country, mountains and lakes into a small town with a couple hundred folks riding bikes naked .
Just can't get away from the crazys, we both had zero tollerence of drugs and work and the smell of pot caused us to keep to our room with the windows open all night. Most of these people were locals so I wonder what happens when thousands of tourests come to Ski in the winter-------- Smoke On The Water, Fire In The Night.
