Taverner due to go out like Loughner any day now

He's getting pretty spun-up these days:

Socialism: The ONLY thing that will save our economy

What do you mean "our" economy, Pale-face?

Don't you have to be gainfully employed and purchase goods and services with your own money for you to be included in "our" economy?

Quote
The banks are hoarding cash - we should have let them fail. FDR did. I believe his quote was "let them fail so that I can save them." And he was 100% correct. The banks can't manage themselves. So if we REALLY wanted to solve the problem, complete nationalization, restructuring, and maybe selling them off would have worked. Right now, they laugh at us. They know they run things, and there's nothing we can do.

We need to nationalize many industries: Big Pharma, Big Auto, and Banking. Any other move just perpetuates the greed that fuels the roulette table that is Wall Street.

"Oh, but the Republicans and DLC would have howled!"

**** em. They're traitors and should be doing time. The only reason they aren't is because they are the ones running things.

At this point, things have gotten so bad that a stimulus, or ten, wouldn't do shit.

It's passed the point where Keyensian Economics can save us, let alone Ayn Rand shit.

We should be looking to Socialist Economic models for a while.

I'm sure many of you disagree with me - that's fine. Very few of us know a whole lot about the New Deal. But the New Deal was radical in its day, and it was a socialist model that worked. There were government programs doing everything from photography to bridge building. We have quite a few bridges to fix, a bunch of highways to repair and - if the GOP really gave a shit about immigration, a wall to build. Sure, it won't work to stop the tide of trafficking - but that's not why I want the wall built. I want the wall to employ union builders from Texas to California. While we're at it, why not put a mall on the wall?

1. I Believe We WIll See Socialism in Poor COmmunities
where people take things into their own hands to help one-an-other. People especially in cities have lost site of community and what that means. Sharing and caring for one another can offset risks when it comes to money. When we pool resources together, we are much more stable and secure.

Weird. We call that conservative, family-based self-reliance.

We should do that.

How we ever allowed blacksmiths to be put out of business by greedy Big Auto is an enduring shame for this nation.

9. Socialism =/= Fascism
One involves corporate takeover of the state

The other, state takeover of corporations

At least with a state takeover, we can vote on things.

Corporate rule, not so much

Yet, both hinge on centralized statism.

Try individual liberty and personal responsibility for a change.

I really wish that we could pack up all the little pricks who don't appreciate the freedoms our founders gave to us, and so many men and women died to protect, and send them to some socialist utopia.
I may not lock my doors while sitting at a red light and a black man is near, but I sure as hell grab on tight to my wallet when any democrats are close by.

We are going to be reading about this guy in the papers real soon, probably something about how the heated right wing rhetoric caused him to snap:

Whether its the media-orchestrated political assassinations of Elliot Spitzer and Anthony Weiner, the cold blooded murder of JFK, MLK, RFK, and Lennon, the 'airplane malfunction' of Paul Wellstone, or the redistricting of Kucinich, Feingold and, once again, Weiner - Progressives are silenced

Conservatives don't have this problem. Too bad John Hinckley, Jr wasn't a better shot, no? Palin and Bachmann will never have airplane troubles, and they use them a lot more than Wellstone did.

I don't see any Conservatives getting redistricted out.

Is this a done deal? I mean, a DUmmie demanded it and even capitalized "NOW". Surely with the power that the DUmmies have this means it's a done deal.

Oops. I see the problem. The DUmmie didn't use an exclamation point after "NOW". That's a relief. It means we're safe.

Wasn't there a story last week about republicans in Illinois being put into the same districts as each other or being placed in heavily Dem districts? Weren't they cheering recently when a districting plan in California had the dems picking up five seats?

He also said that Feingold was redistricted.  Hey numbnuts, you can't redistrict a senator. :stupid:

Eta:  Never mind the fact that the new house districts don't go into effect until next year.  It takes a special kind of stupid to blame Feingold's loss on redistricting.

Yeah, they gerrymandered Illinois pretty badly.  In once example, they moved a promising young Republican congressman into Jesse Jackson Jr.'s district.  The new district looks like a four year old drew it with a crayon.

Well, this thread is just chock full o' nuts.

In the midst of all his random use of capital letters, DUmmy fascisthunter introduces us to a new DUmp word:
Quote
I Believe We WIll See Socialism in Poor COmmunities
where people take things into their own hands to help one-an-other.

And DUmmy Taverner, for once in his miserable, opiate-clouded existence, hits the nail on the head:
Quote
Maybe I'm just crazy.

But as ChuckJ pointed out, DUmmy hifiguy really dropped the ball:
Quote
2. Democratic Socialism
ala Scandinavia NOW.

To get anything done these days, you must use exclamation points.
Didn't these DUmbasses learn anything from Hillary! and Lamar! ?
Oh...wait.

Oh, right, you are a DUmmie and do not have one. So losing an election is now called redistricting? Also, he was the US Senator from WI, the whole state, and would not be effected by redistricting.)

Conservatives don't have this problem. Too bad John Hinckley, Jr wasn't a better shot, no? Palin and Bachmann will never have airplane troubles, and they use them a lot more than Wellstone did.(more of that new tone)

This guy can't even muster enough self control to piss clean in a cup or enough self-disscipline to keep a job more then a few weeks, yet we are supposed to believe he not only understands the banking system, but that he knows precisely what needs to be done in order to fix anything remotely resembling economic matters. The bottom line is tav wants socialism precisely because he lacks the self-control that would allow him to piss clean in a cup or the self-discipline to hold a job longer then a few months, but we are supposed to believe he,s smarter then your average non drug user and long time job holder....yeh right.

Good OP. I'd like to see some huge national program to build super low-cost housing, targeting the homeless and the soon to be homeless to give them shelter and dignity. It should be small, simple, efficient, and as green as possible. And we should hire and train the unemployed and the homeless to build it.

What could possibly go wrong?   :lmao:
