What do you mean "our" economy, Pale-face?

Don't you have to be gainfully employed and purchase goods and services with your own money for you to be included in "our" economy?

The banks are hoarding cash - we should have let them fail. FDR did. I believe his quote was "let them fail so that I can save them." And he was 100% correct. The banks can't manage themselves. So if we REALLY wanted to solve the problem, complete nationalization, restructuring, and maybe selling them off would have worked. Right now, they laugh at us. They know they run things, and there's nothing we can do.

We need to nationalize many industries: Big Pharma, Big Auto, and Banking. Any other move just perpetuates the greed that fuels the roulette table that is Wall Street.

**** em. They're traitors and should be doing time. The only reason they aren't is because they are the ones running things.

At this point, things have gotten so bad that a stimulus, or ten, wouldn't do shit.

It's passed the point where Keyensian Economics can save us, let alone Ayn Rand shit.

We should be looking to Socialist Economic models for a while.

I'm sure many of you disagree with me - that's fine. Very few of us know a whole lot about the New Deal. But the New Deal was radical in its day, and it was a socialist model that worked. There were government programs doing everything from photography to bridge building. We have quite a few bridges to fix, a bunch of highways to repair and - if the GOP really gave a shit about immigration, a wall to build. Sure, it won't work to stop the tide of trafficking - but that's not why I want the wall built. I want the wall to employ union builders from Texas to California. While we're at it, why not put a mall on the wall?

 where people take things into their own hands to help one-an-other. People especially in cities have lost site of community and what that means. Sharing and caring for one another can offset risks when it comes to money. When we pool resources together, we are much more stable and secure.

Conservatives don't have this problem. Too bad John Hinckley, Jr wasn't a better shot, no? Palin and Bachmann will never have airplane troubles, and they use them a lot more than Wellstone did.

I don't see any Conservatives getting redistricted out.

I don't see any Teabaggers losing their spots.

Maybe I'm just crazy. Maybe I'm being too paranoid...

But you have to admit - it's lopsided

 Good OP. I'd like to see some huge national program to build super low-cost housing, targeting the homeless and the soon to be homeless to give them shelter and dignity.It should be small, simple, efficient, and as green as possible. And we should hire and train the unemployed and the homeless to build it.
