We have lost our Rovian intuition and still believe McCain will be their nominee.
 I have not heard Cheney endorse McCain and still believe they will bring in a ringer at the GOP convention. Someone like a Roberts/Lynne Cheney ticket. The beat goes on.

 he looks bad now, has to have 'handlers' in public (at least joe l. has found a spot to land), and exhibits befuddlement on many levels (OK, so what's different about that after the last 7+ years)....
