Signatures and links

Hey!  I know this has been asked before, I just can't find it, when posting links or signatures, how do you change the wording to get it to read something else but still go to the link?  I hope that sounds right.  I used to know how to do that, but I guess I'm getting too old t o remember.  Thanks in advance...MD
