Fading Aussie actor, Ben Esler, whom I never heard of until today, attacked your humble correspondent for an article he wrote in Newsbusters about the Jussie Smollett hate hoax. As you will see his attack is chock full of liberal by-the-numbers virtue signalling.
Just to show there are no hard feelings, ol' PJ performs the ultimate act of kindness at the end of this video by attesting that Mr. Esler is indeed a liberal in good standing and thus deserving of more important acting roles than he has gotten in the past few years during his long sad fade towards total obscurity.

This is a ridiculous, intentional, bad faith distortion of her position. There is nothing wrong with not wanting to discover that someone would lie about a thing such as this, or in fearing the harm such a revelation could do to our culture. For instance, dishonest and opportunistic articles such as this one are likely to be written, further stoking toxic divisiveness and tribalism, which is unfortunate.
If one wishes to prevent "further stoking toxic divisiveness and tribalism", then the place to start is to not fake being attacked when you weren't, for others to quit automatically believing them because it fits their political agenda, and for others who try and defend those who wanted it to be true to not do so (Looking at you, Ben). This cut-rate less than "B" actor has no thought process whatsoever.
BTW PJ, your videos are getting better.
PJ, there's a discus poster by the name of "John (MAGAnum)". He posted on your article. Is there anyway you can contact him and ask him to come over to CC? He makes some really good comments and would be a great fit here.

'Empire' Actor Jussie Smollett Pleaded Guilty to DUI, Providing False Information to Law Enforcement in 2007

As the police investigation into the alleged attack against "Empire" actor Jussie Smollett continues, it was revealed Tuesday that in 2007 Smollett pleaded no contest to DUI, driving without a license and providing false information to law enforcement, the L.A. City Attorney's office confirmed to NBC News.
Smollett, now 36, was sentenced to two years probation and a choice of a fine or jail in the 2007 case, an L.A. City Attorney's spokesman told NBC News.
The case is coming to light as Chicago police investigate whether Smollett made up a story about being the victim of a racially, motivated hate crime. Chicago police have requested LAPD provide them information about the 2007 arrest, according to multiple law enforcement sources familiar the investigation.
Jussie Smollett is a serial liar. I am surprised this came up just now.

No irony. Just another race huckster masquerading as the top Chicago prosecutor. This woman was frothing at the mouth with the expectation of prosecuting two white crackers with MAGA hats, probably even scheming how to subpoena Trump himself to the stand. But when it became a hoax, this Demo-rat immediately recused herself. It's obvious this woman is trying to go for higher office, perhaps even governor or senator; certainly mayor or state Attorney General, and if she would have prosecuted Jussie the hussy, she would have been blistered in her primary, no matter how the case would have turned out.
Make no mistake, Foxx was ready to become the next Atticus Finch with blackface until she got the rug pulled out by a couple of Nigerian email scammers.
