The reason we haven't seen much in the way of policy speeches from either of them is that we know from experience what we can expect from them. We have four years of Trump 45 to draw policy planks from and estimate what those policies will do for us, and whether she cares to admit it or not, we have 4-years of Komrade Kackles performance as part of the #SpongeBrainShitPants regime for where her baseline policies lie, and what they're going to do to us.

That's what Trump should be using and pushing, number one his previous term and two the Biden/Harris four year fecal matter extravaganza. Instead he's getting too Trumpy, trolling the media with stuff like the immigrants eating cats (yes there's a story there, but just dropping it that way in the debate was not the route to go) and dropping new, very questionable promises, like the aforementioned government funded IVF, and now wanting jail time for flag burners (established freedom of expression, even if I don't agree with it)
My two bits is 2024 Trump is too damaged, emotionally and mentally by the years of obstructionism during his presidency, the multiple impeachments, the shenanigans of the 2020 election (whether there were enough to actually change the outcome or not) and all the lawfare since he left office, to be as good as 2016 or 2020 Trump. I'll take damaged Trump over functional puppet Harris any day of the week, but if he pulls off this election, I don't think his second term will be as impressive as his first.
