How to save youtube videos (and upload them elsewhere)

I picked up the Video DownloadHelper plugin for firefox from here https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/3006

Once you figure out how to use it it's great for saving all sorts of streaming content.

I hear you can just search your Temp Internet Files folder for files that have the FLV extension if you use IE but I haven't tried that tactic yet.

I have FireFox with video down loader and it works just fine. But what I use most of the time is a RealPlayer function that allows me to download the video directly from that site. When a video appears a small tab comes up on the top of it and asks if I want to down load the video. Real simple. You can of course customize where the vids download to also.
The RealPlayer version is 11.0.1

Internet Explorer copies it to the Cache. You can get it from there.
