Pick it up in a week. I'm like a kid on Christmas Day. :hyper:

Congratulations. :II:
Now you'll be checking the weather every three hours for rain.

I bet!
Enjoy (but be safe).

Is that an automatic or manual top?

Sweet! Enjoy!

Manual top. One person operation from the inside lowering it.
First thing I gotta do though is get a replacement rear window the one in it now has a vertical gash/crack in it.
Mechanically it's sound...it went through the TuV (German inspection process) and came out clean...passed the courtesy inspection by the mechanics on post in Ansbach today.

If the German auto inspections are anything like the UK MOT, I'd say you did well.
My car has a one-person manual top too, but it takes like ten minutes lower it. I usually have to walk around the car twice to finish everything. :-)

What kind of tires are on it? Are you planning on buying new ones?
The Yokohamas I got from Discount Tire are pretty good for the price. I wish they had been available for my MGB.
-
Wow....lucky dog. I would be afraid to drive it and mess it up :-)
-
Very nice, TRG!
(Just don't text with that brand-new Crackberry and cruise 230 kph on the autobahn.) :-)
-
What a sweet ride

It's got 50 series Continental's on it right now. Thinking about getting some all season snow rated tires so I don't have to switch every 6 months.
I love using Discount when I'm in the states but they don't ship to Germany. So I have to go with Tire Rack.

Never gonna happen. I don't want to take the chance of ruining my new phone! :)

There is nothing finer than driving a Beemer Cabriolet at 160 kph down the Autobahn. (In the left lane, of course.) :yahoo:

Sweet ride.
I hope you don't get too old. I had a honey of a sportscar (MR2 -- a beauty). But when the groan of me getting in and out was louder than the engine it was time to say sayonara.
I miss it, but not as much as my 1st sports car.
We should NOT form attachments to material things. But I cried when my 1st real car was driven off by my brother and again when my "baby" (my first brand new car: a 1990 Talon) got totaled in a rear-ender. I just sniffed for the MR2. Other those times and watching Old Yeller I have never cried in my life.
