I am not a religious person, but I have no problems with prayer at a graduation ceremony. Here are some whacked out comments.

Or perhaps they would prefer not to have what they view as childish nonsense shoved down their throat during their son's graduation.

And how do you know they're confused? Perhaps they simply know what they can't know, and refuse to lie to themselves about it to make themselves more comfortable.
Liberalism is childish nonsense and religion to them.

Fire the judge for applying the law?
What law does it say that prohibits prayer? By the way, he posts this driven again and again.  :mental:

Ok, show of hands here. How many of you screaming for the "right" to pray would be behind this if a Muslim or Buddhist were giving the Invocation or a Wiccan or Hindu were giving the Benediction?

C'mon now, be honest. How many of you would support their right to give their prayers?

How many of you would support the school over the judge if a Muslim student were to offer prayers to Allah or if a Wiccan were to pray to the Goddess?

The Founding Fathers would obviously disagree (see U.S. Constitution): Defending the separation of church and State is never frivolous in these United States of America.
The Constitution does not have separation of church and state. It just cannot have state religion. What a moron!  :bird:

The government is not to be involved in establishing religion. But instead to allow all faiths to pray amongst themselves all they want, but to not let any religion including the majority religion impose their prayer on others.

Thomas Jefferson was much more of an agnostic or deist than a fundamentalist christian, and he wrote the Consitution. Ever hear of the Wall of Separation Between Church and State? He first coined that when he was in the Virginia Assembly.
This guy is stuck on stupid. Moderate_Guy is most likely a leftist.

The judge was just following the law. Throw him out of office for following the law? Plus, he is appointed for life, and the only way he can be removed from the bench is to be impeached (or I guess assasinated by a Christian terrorist).

The establishment clause in the First Amendment of the Constitution prohibits the public school from leading prayer. The students are free to pray to themselves at graduation all they want, and/or to pray at home or at church.
Moderate_Guy likes to hear himself talk. Talk about projection! :mental:

If people can't pray without a public display, how strong can their 'faith' be? Silly issue. The judge was correct.
Again what law says you can't pray?

Nah, making a public spectacle of your prayer, that's disgraceful.

Mayflower, the judge was just following the law. Why throw him out of office for following the law? Plus, he is appointed for life, and the only way he can be removed from the bench is to be impeached (or I guess assasinated by a Christian terrorist).

Prayer is part of freedom of speech. Government cannot establish religion! READ THE ****ING CONSTITUTION MORON!!!!!!!!!! OH, YOU ARE SO ****ING STUPID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  :bird:

Here's hoping the students will do what the girl last week did and say a Prayer.

Castroville is "Little Mexico". I don't see the illegal alien Mexican families there liking this one bit.
“The national budget must be balanced. The public debt must be reduced; the arrogance of the authorities must be moderated and controlled. Payments to foreign governments must be reduced, if the nation doesn't want to go bankrupt. People must again learn to work, instead of living on public assistance.”

  • Creepy ass cracker.
The left won't be happy until Christians have to go underground and worship in secret, just like in the old Soviet Union, unless of course they go to progressive churches that preach social justice. They basically want to nullify the first amendment and set up a state run church, which is ironic since they keep screaming separation of church and state, they don't want Christians involved in politics, but they sure as hell want the govt involved in Christianity. Just like their commie heroes they want people to only worship at the alter of govt.

I may not lock my doors while sitting at a red light and a black man is near, but I sure as hell grab on tight to my wallet when any democrats are close by.

However a muslim prayer was allowed.
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

Someone posted in 1 of the comments at the original article that a lot of the families of the graduates are Mexican and they aren't going to be happy about this ruling. What I find interesting is this, the left trips over themselves catering to the Hispanic community, most Hispanics are Catholic, pro-life, pro-Church, anti-gay marriage, and does the left really think they can influence this community to their way of thinking on issues important to the Hispanic community?
