Cry Wolf - Pretender

"We make men without chests and expect of them virtue and enterprise. We laugh at honor and are shocked to find traitors in our midst. We castrate and then bid the geldings to be fruitful."

C.S. Lewis

A community may possess all the necessary moral qualifications, in so high a degree, as to be capable of self-government under the most adverse circumstances; while, on the other hand, another may be so sunk in ignorance and vice, as to be incapable of forming a conception of liberty, or of living, even when most favored by circumstances, under any other than an absolute and despotic government.

John C Calhoun, "Disquisition on Government", 1840

This is an interview (article) along with video with Sam Andrew (Big Brother) some of which is about a newly released live album. The album is Big Brother and the Holding Co. Live At The Carousel Ballroom 1968.
I've been lucky enough that my wife, as the mod for their forum, worked with Sony handling the release. This got us a couple of the CD's and just the other day a pair of 180g vinyl (records for you youngsters) double albums.
The wife and I love the album. It's raw, full of mistakes, which the "guys" hate, but so wonderfully captures the "sound" of psychedelic rock it's addicting. If you like this style of music, pick it up! Oh, if you get the album, play it in MONO, it's required to get it to sound "right".

It is said that branches draw their life from the vine. Each is separate yet all are one as they share one life giving stem . The Bible tells us we are called to a similar union in life, our lives with the life of God. We are incorporated into him; made sharers in his life. Apart from this union we can do nothing.

I like the German version just as much, but either version has a beat hook that you can't shake. It sticks like a bum on a bologna sandwich.
