Such a powerful composition. Love the movie. That's why I bought it the day it came out.

The last music I listened to today was Laura Branigan. Those pipes can really get your blood pumping...............Too bad she passed away at such an early age.

R.I.P. Jimi Hendrix

November 27, 1942 - September 18, 1970

It has been said there are but two eras in rock guitar. Everything before Jimi Hendrix and everything after.

Hendrix spent years on the road after the Army (101st airborne, 26 jumps) before being discovered in England and he played with literally everybody that was anybody in the American music scene.

I had a 'Jimmy James and the Blue Flames' album that Hendrix recorded after he left Little Richard's band.  It was awesome.

Cool. Hang onto it if you still have it, those are mighty scarce.

I've got this one and a few other rare Hendrix vinyls.

One of these days I'll have to get off my ass and buy a new turntable. 500 LP's do me no good if I can't play them.

"We make men without chests and expect of them virtue and enterprise. We laugh at honor and are shocked to find traitors in our midst. We castrate and then bid the geldings to be fruitful."

C.S. Lewis

A community may possess all the necessary moral qualifications, in so high a degree, as to be capable of self-government under the most adverse circumstances; while, on the other hand, another may be so sunk in ignorance and vice, as to be incapable of forming a conception of liberty, or of living, even when most favored by circumstances, under any other than an absolute and despotic government.
