Saw the Levon Helm Band in Philly last Friday. The Band is my all time favorite band, and Levon's solo stuff has been pretty good. Since the concert, I've been listening to Levon Helm and the Band almost exclusively. It was the best concert I've ever been to in my life. And I've been to dozens.

Let nothing trouble you,
Let nothing frighten you.
All things are passing;
God never changes.
Patience attains all that it strives for.
He who has God lacks nothing:
God alone suffices.

Just listened to "Best of Kansas" yesterday while flying.

That was (is?) a very, very good group.  Damn good listening music.

It is said that branches draw their life from the vine. Each is separate yet all are one as they share one life giving stem . The Bible tells us we are called to a similar union in life, our lives with the life of God. We are incorporated into him; made sharers in his life. Apart from this union we can do nothing.
