Title: how does
Post by: franksolich on December 11, 2014, 07:38:18 AM
How does one place, and center, a small jpg image into one's signature line?

I know, I know, I've been here since forever, and should know, but I've never been fond of overly elaborate signature lines, and so never paid attention.

However, given the season, I thought it might be nice to have a picture too.

I can make one up for you. PM the text and desired font to me.

I figured it out.

Obviously.

But thanks for the offer, sir.

I'm not fond of big signature lines, but given the season.....

That reminds me, your image won't appear for me. It's a blank square except for a red question mark in the middle of it.

Yeah, marv, sir, your signature-line picture doesn't appear.

Neither does your avatar.

Red "x" in both cases.

Are you hot-linking?

I see his avatar, but not the picture in his sig line.

Privileged 1%er.

You're using the brand-new Firefox, I bet, while the rest of us riff-raff are using Explorer 5 or Explorer 6 on Windows95.*

Anyway.....on Firefox, his avatar shows up, and the quote in his signature line shows up, but there's no box and a red "x"--like there is here--and no image; just the text.

*was supposed to pick up the now-compatible tower and monitor at the local telephone company today, but decided to clean the fingernails instead; I'll probably do it tomorrow (Friday).

This is what it looks like with what I'm using right now (an older version of Explorer):

This is what it looks like with the new Firefox, which I'm not going to use until I set up the new computer:

I was going to ask if the tower/monitor compatibility problem had been fixed, but you saved me the trouble. I think I'll clean my fingernails instead.

I was in town a little after 1:00 p.m. today, and picked up the tower and monitor.

They're compatible now; it was a little itty-bitty incompatibility.
