Last night in his show's "New Rules" segment, Bill Maher explored the phenomenon of teen and preteen conservative pundits, and what their success says about the maturity of their movement.
"I'm not trying to slam these kids, because being an asshole is totally understandable when you're fourteen," Maher says. "But my point is to Republican adults. When 14-year old boys sound exactly like you do... maybe you should rethink the shit that's coming out of your mouth."

Okay, Maher, where exactly are these "teenage right-wingers"? I'm young (mid-20s), and throughout my life my circle of friends has been dominated by liberals (and some of them can be assholes).

Impossible. Maher is a TOTAL dick, and he's not conservative at all.

So young folks that can take care of themselves, get good grades, work for what they get, are dicks? Well then those young folks can wear that title proudly then as far as I'm concerned. Your young folks can wear the title "Loser".

I happen to be 16 years old and I am a conservative. Many of the politically active people at my high school are conservative as well.
I believe the registration agreement for this site requires that members be over 18 or something like that but I just wanted to let you all know that we young conservatives actually exist and are more common than you may think.
By the way, coming from Bill Maher; I wear the label of 'dick' as a badge of honor.

Good on you, Chariot. I started listening to Rush, Hannity, Beck, Vicki McKenna, and others when I was 13 or 14. Don't remember how that old saying goes totally, but I skipped the heart, and wen't right after the brain. Apparently, you did too. :cheersmate:

I was a liberal/communist for about two years of my life(12-14) but my brother and father showed me that the system didn't work.
