Obama Supporters
« on: August 31, 2008, 04:27:21 PM »
I notice a lot of these Obama supporters are really ardent about him, since he spoke in 2004 and becoming a Senator in 2006. I am willing to bet the reason why many these Obama supporters are that because Bush won the 2000 Election are very bitter about it, which they still are to this day. A lot of Al Gore's downfall in 2000 was his own doing because he dragged and took it to court. Even if Al Gore did become President they will be disappointed at him. I bet if Obama became President, they will be really disappointed at him.

Actually, he's been a senator since getting elected in 2005. Not that he's DONE anything in the Senate, but he got elected 2 years prior to what you said, Ptarmy.

But I came to the conclusion that his most ardent supporters are one of two people: complete waterhead retards that shouldn't be left unsupervised with an electric can opener let alone vote, and the other is one who really, really hates America and what She stands for.

Huh?  Was there some sort of special election in IL in 2005?

Its the gap between when the eection is held and the congress is seated, i.e. president elected first tuesday of Nov. but inaugurated Jan 20 of the following year.

:thatsright:  My bad.  I don't know what the hell I was thinking (I guess my mind was on the 2006 congressional election).

Obama was elected in 04 and sworn in, in 05.

He was not officially a member of the Senate until he was sworn in, he was merely a senator-elect.

Boy do I feel sheepish.

I thought this was going to be a thread on a new line of jock-straps being marketed with Obamessiah's picture and campaign logo printed on 'em.

My current "around the butt nut hut" is gettin' mighty worn (that's what happens when it has to haul around such a massive "thing") and I could use a replacement.

With Peter Fitzgerald resigning his Senate seat, Obama ran along with Blair Hull who he made out to be a wife beater in the 2004 Dem primaries, then sought to make GOP contender Jack Ryan look like a sex freak. Ya don't remember that?
