Cyclists stop in Utica promoting climate change

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - Student volunteers from colleges around New York State braved freezing cold temperatures on their bikes Wednesday to send a message to state and federal political candidates: pay attention to climate change.

The New York Public Interest Research Group helped organize the ride. Environmentalists cheered on the bikers as they stopped in Utica around noon. They want candidates to let voters know what they plan to do about global warming and the energy crisis.

Bet they could've used some globalwarming. Why wasn't the alcoricle riding with them?   :thatsright:

Alphonse Capote Gore was probably there, having arrived from his carbon-using luxury mansion down in Tennessee in a carbon-using private 747 aircraft carrying 4 passengers.

And then Alphonse Capote Gore probably warmed up the crowd with hot ai--er, his speech.

“The national budget must be balanced. The public debt must be reduced; the arrogance of the authorities must be moderated and controlled. Payments to foreign governments must be reduced, if the nation doesn't want to go bankrupt. People must again learn to work, instead of living on public assistance.”
