Money to help the American Indians.
« on: November 03, 2011, 03:15:03 PM »
So I get this call from a Indian reservation in SD asking for funds to feed their elderly.

Holy crap, we are starving the owners of this land and now the Elders of a tribe are hungry.

WTF, this is unreal, we have hungry Native Americans on government reservations in this day and age ????

So I listened to the young lady until she said---So you will send $800 dollars to help us out, --I hung up and now feel guilty, are there Native Americans living in squealer and disease in this country ???

Is it possible in this day and age we the government forced these people on to land and left them to die???

Then I think about the Cherokee tribe that wants to remove a huge number of the the descendants of the the slaves they adopted into the tribe, Black or white, those they caught, captured or what ever that intermarried with them.

Big interesting questions here-------If my G- grandfather married a Native American, his sons did also, does this mean we who are descended from them even by DNA loose our ethic identity ?????

Sounds like a con to me.
If you want to worship an orange pile of garbage with a reckless disregard for everything, get on down to Arbys & try our loaded curly fries.

Eight hundred freakin dollars?  Vesta, I know for a fact that in Maine, they all get "Indian checks."  If they're drinking them, that's not your problem.

There are no Cherokee reservation in SD.  My kids are part Lakota.  One lives on an SD rez part-time for her work.  The others live near, but not on reservations.

I think this was a con due to the bullcrap show that was recently on 20/20.  That got a lot of bullcrap sympathy going and all Indians pissed off.

Think of it this way.  If a camera crew came to your city or area, could they find crappy parts?  Could they find negative whiners to interview?  Could they butcher the statements of you and your neighbors to make things sound bad?  Does anyone in your area commit crimes, is addicted to drugs or booze?  Probably.  But doing a hatchet job on reservation life is interesting to people who don't know squat about it and got a lot of views.  Puke sons of bitches.

You want to send money to help the Indians?

Go to an Indian-owned casino.  You'll lose enough.

"All you have to do is look straight and see the road, and when you see it, don't sit looking at it - walk!" -Ayn Rand

Chase her even when she's yours.
That's the only way you'll be assured to never lose her.

I look at the Casinos this way, it is an adult amusement park.  Were I to go to Six Flags or Disney Land I would spend much more money just to get in the darn place not to mention a nights lodging, food, and have to spend much of the day waiting in line for rides that last 2 minutes.

We take the bus down to Conn. $35.00 both ways and received over $30.00 each in freebees when we get there. Much cheaper then driving, counting gas and tolls.   I wait for the special room rates, $60.00 per night and the rooms are terrific.   Hell with stealing the towels, I want to steal those huge glassed in showers with the jet sprays and seating for two.

Where else can I for that price find a heated swimming pool in the dead of winter????  Very few children running about, lots of fun just people watching, and trying to figure out who is security in plain clothes.

Come 11:30 pm or so in roll the Limos with the Hookers, darn I check out their cloths, hair styles, shoes and jewelry.    What fun watching them find a mark and hit on them. Hubby and I make bets on who the girls will hit on and how they go about it.

We play low table Black Jack, seldom the slots, only take $100.00 each and when we loose half of that we STOP and sit back and enjoy the show.

The Indians don't make much from us, $120.00 for 2 nights lodging, perhaps $100.00 in the Casino, we bring snacks, cheese, crackers, apples and peanut butter and our own booze. The bus comps give us free food at the all one can eat buffets, and if we win a few hands we can eat at the 4 star restaurants if we wish.

Us Yankees are a bunch of penny pincher's and not going to get taken by the Indians or Mobs if we can help it.

On the second day we go by free bus into Mystic to the Aquarium, or other sites, then head back to the Casino to people watch again and on the next morning head home on a 3 hour ride in a bus with TV screens and a movie playing.-------A mini vacation for little money, a breath of fresh air.

So, WTF is wrong with spending less then $300 bucks for an adult trip, once or twice a year????

BTW, we watched as the flat beds came in to collect the cars of the jerks that signed over the titles to the Casino's for credit and lost big time.

Sounds like the best way to enjoy a casino.   :)
