In this photo taken Monday, May 26, 2014, Molly Schuyler, of Bellevue, Neb., smiles after eating two 72-ounce steak meals in under 15 minutes at The Big Texan Steak Ranch in Amarillo, Texas. The competitive eater set a record. The countdown time of 45:03 means she finished both meals in 14 minutes, 57 seconds. (AP Photo/The Amarillo Globe News, Sean Steffen)

AMARILLO, Texas (AP) — A Nebraska woman celebrated breaking a Texas steakhouse's speed record for eating a 4½-pound slab of beef by polishing off another one.

The Amarillo Globe-News (http://bit.ly/TQGbwz ) and the Big Texan Steak Ranch's Twitter page say that competitive eater Molly Schuyler finished her first steak in 4 minutes and 58 seconds. The previous record was 8 minutes and 52 seconds.

The 5-foot-7, 125-pound mother from Bellevue, Nebraska, ate her second 4½-pound steak in 9 minutes and 59 seconds.

The restaurant foots the bill for anyone who can eat one of the steaks, a baked potato, shrimp, a salad and bread roll in under an hour, so Schuyler ate those side dishes as well.

In February, the self-described "bottomless pit" ate 363 chicken wings in 30 minutes in Philadelphia.

All I can think is she must have teeth like a shark, an alligator or a possum. Or be part python. (oo-wee-oo Maybe she's part alien)
That's not normal.

How did she keep from choking and throwing up?

I buy 4 pound roasts that serve a family and there are left overs.

No kidding. It takes me 40 minutes to eat half of a 6 oz filet. And then DH (or the dogs. Heh what am I sayin? They usually get their own) eats the rest of it.

I posted this for the people that follow that Steve from Nebraska for Frank who follows Steve from his neck of the woods.

Interesting woman a 5' 7"  weight at 125 LBS. ----Is this possible for a human to scarf down all this food and not have some really bad bowel problems ?

These people fascinate me,  like LOBSTER  Boy in a carnival side show.

Compete to reach a goal is one thing but to make a living on how much more one can ingest into their system is heading into the dark side of the moon.

I do turn in to the NY. hotdog contest, brings about questions on what their body life is, how to stretch a body organ, the stomach to accept this overload and not explode .

So what does this do to the gut of the humans that chose this as a sport ?

Why on earth choose this as a sport and how long do they need to spend in a bathroom either throwing up or passing the food from their bowels ?

Anyone checked into the calories these people take in over 30 minutes---Why are they still alive ?  Do these eaters have medical staff on hand to pump their stomachs after a  contest or do these people just go off with 25 pounds of food in their body's to  head out and get a Pizza with friends ?

Smoke and mirrors, has to be a huge back up team to allow a human at 125 pounds can survive putting all that weight not to mention the calories into their body in a small time frame and have them survive.
