And they do, most often. Al Franken. Katie Hill. Even if there's really no reason for them to resign and no investigation.
Republicans, however, stand together with their cohorts, and defend them. "No, don't resign," they say. "Everyone does it."
That's the difference between honor and dishonor, really. Jim Jordan had knowledge of sexual misconduct when he was an Assistant Coach, and did nothing about it. He's still doing nothing about it. And now, he'll be on a committee investigating the Rapist-in-Chief. That's the Republican way, see...

A professional referee says in a lawsuit filed Thursday that disgraced doctor Richard Strauss masturbated in front of him in a shower after a wrestling match at Ohio State University, and that he reported the encounter directly to Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, who was then the assistant coach.
The lawsuit, filed in federal court in Ohio, implies that Jordan's response to the incident, which the referee said happened in 1994, was essentially a shrug.

The idiots LOVE to compare Jim Jordan to the Jerry Sandusky situation, and always conclude that they are the same.
Here's the difference, MM, and I will type slowly so that you can understand. Jim Jordan was an assistant coach for a COLLEGE team. COLLEGE teams are made up of all, or nearly all, ADULTS, who should be expected to take care of such situations THEMSELVES. They could have refused to participate, unlike Sandusky's victims, or they could have reported the doc to the administration themselves, instead of mentioning (kind of jokingly, IIRC) to a very young ASSISTANT coach.

Oh, and BTW, didn't DEMOCRAT Congresscreep Gerry Studds continue to serve for FOURTEEN YEARS after having been found to have had a sexual relationship with a MINOR Congressional page?
